I had the honor and pleasure of making this heart cake for one of my best friends’ wedding today 🩷

The “icing on the cake” for me was the thumbs up 👍🏻 from both the bride 👰🏻‍♀️ & groom 🤵🏻‍♂️ when they tried it!😁

Spent a little time in the kitchen this weekend 😁🥰

Details -
🎂 - made up of (3) 10-inch layers of homemade Red Velvet cake
- each layer was evenly baked without reducing moisture that everyone hopes for in a slice of cake!
- coated in the best cream cheese icing I’ve ever made 😍
- topped with delicious pecan halves and pieces … cause Red Velvet just ain’t Red Velvet without pecans!(pea-cans, in case you were wondering😉)

🍝🥗 - All I can say is this combination is *SO* good that you’ll immediately be longing for Italy 🇮🇹🤤

3-layer Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Pecans 😁

I doubled the batter which left enough for me to make a 9x13 for the fam. The official taster (my husband 🤪) said it was delicious!! So now, the rest of the fam is excited to get a piece 😂😁
