Whew it’s been a (I don’t even have a viable adjective) of a week over here. But here is a sweet picture of Benson to get you through hump day and a little note to say we will be dropping a little summer vibes with red, white and blue sprinkled in bandana collection tomorrow. Unfortunately our schedule has changed and we won’t be at The Big RVA Market tomorrow 💔 We always love seeing everyone there, so I really do hate to miss it!

Right now our next scheduled event is June 13th, but I’m thinking we may have to squeeze in some story sales or even a little porch pop-up before then because waiting that long feels wrong.

We’ll also definitely be dropping some summer products on the website soon, so keep an eye out because there are some fun things coming ☀️🐾

Stay tuned — I’ll keep everyone posted if we decide to make something happen sooner!

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! 🐾🥳🎉🐾 Today we celebrate the mutts, the misunderstood, the seniors, the shy ones, the wild ones, and every rescue pup still waiting for their person.

Rescue dogs have a way of changing your life without even trying. They teach patience, resilience, unconditional love, and how to function with approximately 3 inches of bed space.

Enjoy a little photo dump of all my rescue babies — the ones still by my side and the ones watching over me from the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾 I’m forever grateful for these rescues and every single messy, chaotic, beautiful moment that came with them.

We took a portion of our sales from January to May and went shopping for items that two shelters were in need of. Lunenburg County Animal Control (who is run by the sweetest man) and Petersburg Animal Shelter (who I have a special place in my heart for) were in need of food and laundry detergent, so that’s what we brought! Thanks to our amazing friends who gave us preventatives, food and more to deliver as well as a few neighbors who donated food and crates, this delivery was an even bigger success.

Some city/county run shelters have big budgets for medical care and food, while others have next to nothing. Some city/county shelters have an incredible community backing them and others struggle. This year we have made it our mission to support those who may need it a little more than others. So please know that every time you purchase a P+P product, you are helping make these deliveries possible! We stretched $425 as far as we could to provide laundry detergent, cat food, kitten food, wet dog food and dry dog food! And if you have a hook up for Purina dog/cat food, let me know! I’d love to find a way to stretch our dollars even further. 🩷
