🚨 HELP US BRING CHOPPER HOME! 🚨

Rescue isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it’s really hard.

Tuesday evening, one of the dogs from our recent hoarding rescue became frightened and slipped out of his harness and collar. Since then, our team has spent countless hours monitoring, setting up feeding stations and humane traps, working with Eye in the Sky and local trappers—and Chopper is still on the run.

Chopper is in fight-or-flight mode. He has been approaching glass doors and looking inside, but runs when people come near.

📍 Last seen: Corwin Road near the covered bridge on Middletown Road in Waynesville, close to the bike trail.

🚨 IF YOU SEE CHOPPER:

📸 Take a picture if you safely can.
📱 Text 513-440-7330 with the photo, date, time & VERY specific location.

🚫 DO NOT chase him.
🚫 DO NOT call to him or approach him.
🚫 DO NOT try to catch him.
🚫 DO NOT FEED HIM. Feeding can cause him to change his patterns and make it harder for us to safely trap him.

Please walk the other way and notify us.

The more this post reaches, the better chance we have of getting a sighting that helps us bring him home.

No tail should be left behind. We are NOT leaving Chopper behind. 🐾

Myles Ahead could use some help 🐶

🚨 WE NEED HELP. 🚨

If we had turned these six puppies away today, they likely wouldn’t have survived the week.

They arrived covered in fleas. Their gums are nearly white from the anemia caused by parasites. They’re hungry, exhausted, and far too young to have already experienced so much neglect.

We couldn’t say no.

But the truth is… we can’t keep saying yes without more people standing beside us.

I’m tired. I’m exhausted. I honestly can’t remember the last day I got to spend with my own animals without another dog living in our barn because there was simply nowhere else for them to go.

Myles Ahead Animal Sanctuary & Rescue is run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid employees—just people who choose to give their time, their homes, and their hearts to save animals that have nowhere else to go.

Right now, we need committed volunteers to help with:
🐾 Fostering dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens
🐾 Staffing our Myles Ahead location at the MAC to greet visitors, help with adoptions, and answer questions
🐾 Working adoption events and fundraisers
🐾 Checking references and processing adoption applications
🐾 Behind-the-scenes tasks that keep this rescue moving

Not able to volunteer? You can still make a huge difference.

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of:
🐶 Puppy food (wet and dry)
🍼 Puppy pads
🧻 Paper towels
🧺 Laundry detergent
🧴 Dawn dish soap
🩹 Flea treatment and flea combs
🛏️ Towels and blankets

You can also shop directly from our Amazon Wish List or make a monetary donation to help cover the veterinary care these little ones desperately need.

These six puppies are safe tonight because people cared enough to step in.

The next ones will depend on whether more people are willing to step up.

Please share this post, volunteer, foster, donate, or send supplies. Every act of kindness gives another animal a chance at life.

We can’t save them alone. ❤️🐾
