Yes, I still eat my cheeseburgers plain. It’s not a habit I intend on breaking. Sorry.🤷🏼‍♀️

Anywho, I made sourdough hamburger buns today, and they put the store-bought stuff to shame. Yum.

Want to do more from scratch this year?

With grocery prices higher than ever, here’s my favorite way to get more bang for your buck. It’s also a great place to start if you’re wanting to get in the kitchen more!

I buy whole organic chickens from Costco (you get two, so I just freeze the other!). Season your chicken however you like and add it to your Instant pot with 1/2c. Water. Pressure cook for 30min and let it naturally release pressure. Take the chicken out and carve. (If you don’t know how to carve a chicken, check out Gordon Ramsay’s video on YouTube)

When you’re finished, throw all the bones back in the instant pot. Add in onions, carrots, or whatever veggies or scraps you have laying around. Season with salt and cover with water. Pressure cook for 2-3 hours and let pressure release naturally.

I let this cool, strain it, and then pour it into these 1 cup silicone cubes from Amazon. Freeze them and you have perfect 1 cup portions of chicken bone broth whenever you need it!🤪

How are you going to do more in the kitchen this year?
