My name is Mariah Jessen, a single mom, high school ELA educator, and creator of random things. I first developed a love of baking during my undergraduate program as I found it a great stress reliever. As time went on and I shared my desserts with more people in my community, the more I realized that I may have a knack for baking delicious desserts. After some time and running the thought by frien

ds and family, I have decided to finally open my own small business for homemade baked goods. I try my hardest to use fresh ingredients when it applies and while my desserts may not look like they came from a professional bakery, they are imperfectly delicious! Most weekends I will be able to bake and provide services, once the school year begins, I will have to limit the amount of orders that I accept. Some Thanksgiving pie orders baked and frozen awaiting delivery. It's been awhile but it was good getting back to it. There is a pumpkin, apple, cranberry apple, blueberry, and peach pie.

Man the cost of ingredients has really gone up though.

We will be at the Fomo park (where the farmers markets in Morrill usually are) from 10-2 with some goodies. We have made mini apple and mini strawberry rhubarb pies as well as handpies of the same flavors, cinnamon rolls, m&m chocolate chip cookies and scotch-a-roos. Qualities are limited so be sure to come early.

Stolen from a friend: “Big box stores are so cheap because they are baked from a boxed mix in mass quantities offsite in a warehouse and shipped to the store and frozen for up to 3 months. I am not able to do that, so everything is baked in smaller batches with higher quality ingredients and is fresh.
I don’t serve anything that has been frozen for months or sell anything that is baked straight from a boxed mix, so it’s a much higher quality product. I am not willing to work for less than minimum wage which I would be doing if I sold my things for the same price as Publix. It’s kind of like buying a dress off the rack vs. hiring someone to tailor it for you….mich higher quality product and also more time consuming 😃”
