Many people have asked..... so here we go! I am going share baking(mostly) and cooking(occasionally) tips, tricks, and techniques.
How did I get started? Well...I started out as an English major, planning to be an English teacher (yes, I love to read, correct grammar, research, and diagram sentences!!) During one of my Education courses, we had a presentation on Family and Consumer Sciences. I took a class and was hooked! Under this umbrella, the plethora of subjects is unreal! I have taught FCS at 2 schools, 10 years at one and I am currently on my 13th year at my current school. After teaching Baking and Pastry for the last 8ish years (yes, I learned alongside my students because one semester of baking in college was not enough, lol), I decided to pursue a dream.
I researched WV Cottage Baking Laws, saved money, created a menu, price compared ingredients and supplies..and prayed. And so it started...SugarMomma Baking Co. had a social media page. The first year was trial and error..and tears sprinkled with a few choice words. I am currently on year 5! I am truly thankful for my followers and customers. I am grateful that I am able to add to your celebrations and life events.
Where do I want to go from here? The teacher in me wants to to share my love for baking because as I tell my students, Food Is Love. I will add to this page tips, tricks, techniques, and suggestions so that you can bake memories!!! Welcome to Brandi's Baking Bits
