🧵 I love giving these old beauties a second life instead of letting them sit folded away. She had a few 'very loved' spots. It's a bit of a challenge to place the pattetn pieces strategically to have a design that flows well while working around the worn spots.

Had one of those thrift days that reminds me why I love the hunt. ❤️

Now the real work begins... laundering, hanging, inspecting, and deciding the future of each quilt. Some will become one-of-a-kind pillows and home décor, or quilt coats or jackets while others are beautiful enough to be sold just as they are.
One of my favorite parts of creating is having a variety of vintage quilts to choose from. Every color, pattern, texture, and bit of history gives the same design its own unique personality. That's what makes each piece I create truly one of a kind.
