๐ช Meet the Baker: Lori of TCY Cookies & More
Most people know me as the woman behind the cookies, brownies, and cheesecake jars, but baking is only one part of who I am.
I've been with my husband, Bryan, for 18 years. We built this business together, and while I may be the one doing the baking, he's been right beside me through the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
I'm also a published author. My book, Perspectives, is available on Amazon, and in 2014 I had the opportunity to attend the Kentucky Book Fair as an author. Writing has always been another creative outlet for me, allowing me to explore ideas and share stories differently.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll usually find me spending time with my fur babies: Ralph, my orange cat who has perfected the art of unemployment, and Meko, my loyal canine companion who somehow always knows when I need a little extra encouragement.
As for baking, my journey didn't actually begin with sweets. I started in the kitchen with savory cooking. I've always had a strong sense of smell and a fascination with flavors, ingredients, and how food comes together. Over time, that curiosity found its way into cookies, cheesecakes, brownies, and the business I run today.
I started TCY Cookies & More not just to bake, but to connect with people. After moving to Morehead, I found myself searching for community. This business gave me a way to meet people, build relationships, and share something I genuinely love.
If you've ever wondered what TCY stands for, it's a nod to our roots. Before becoming TCY Cookies & More, we were known as The Cookie Yoda, a nickname I picked up in an online baking group years ago.
At the end of the day, I'm a baker, a writer, a wife, an animal lover, and someone who believes that good food has a way of bringing people together.
I'm glad you're here.
