Last week I stepped out of my comfort zone and took an order for 2 cakes! These cakes are special because they represent something that is very dear to me: inclusion. These cakes were made for my coworkers birthday party. She has a gluten intolerance and while I’m not sure about her specific circumstances, I’ve heard of so many people not getting to partake in cake during parties or having to make their own birthday cakes because it can be difficult to find gluten free ones.

The comic book style cakes gave me the opportunity to create a really cool concept. The small “slice cake” is gluten free and was designed to look like it was a slice cut out from the larger, “regular” cake just for the birthday girl! So cool 🍰

My coworkers make the best test subjects for new ideas! These gifts are going out tomorrow at our Christmas party. These cookies are tasty, but only a couple are ready for the menu. The others still need a few tweaks. Let me tell you, I am not upset about getting to test some cookie goodness.
