Fresh Rhubarb is in the stand - just cut this morning! 25 cents each. There’s also some eggs in the stand - chicken and duck!

I processed the birds we butchered in 5 days - canning takes a while! I canned over 100 cups of broth and almost 50 pounds of meat. I’ll miss my ladies, but I won’t miss the hour of washing eggs for them just to sit on my porch until I fed them back to them!

Hello everyone!

I have made the decision to cut back on egg laying chickens. I’ve been getting 60-ish eggs a day (5 dozen a day). With everyone owning their own flocks, it’s no longer important to me to be keeping so many eggs in the stand.

The cost of feeding so many, is no longer beneficial with the amount of eggs I’m selling. It is now taking money I do not have to be feeding them. I have so many eggs, I’m feeding them back to my ladies most days to keep the freshest eggs in my stand. Waste all the way around at the moment! So instead of going to waste, we are processing what we butcher. Carcasses are going to broth and I’m canning the meat for longer storage.

🌻With this being said - please message me if you need more than 4 dozen eggs at a time. I am going down to 30 egg layers so I can still be able to donate eggs to local senior houses. 🌻

Thank you for your understanding!

Eggs are still $3/dozen. Duck eggs are $6/dozen. The egg stand is stocked at all times unless I make a post that I am out of eggs! 🙂

✨ Help me clear out eggs to get back to the freshest eggs possible for you! ✨

My eggs I have in the stand are dated from March. There’s nothing wrong with them, they’re just older! Great for hard boiled eggs, pickling, etc. I’ve already had my fill of hard boiled, pickled & limed eggs. I have even dehydrated 4 dozen.

From now until I’m caught up on eggs, eggs will be $2/dozen! Please come help me clear them out! Thank you 🙏

(And like always, if anything is wrong with an egg, please message me! I can’t see into the eggs, things happen. I’ll do what I can to make things right 😊)

My ladies are going through their molting season! What does this mean? ⤵️

Molting means they’re using a lot of energy to shed old feathers and grow new feathers (this is a simple answer!). When molting, often laying eggs slows down or ceases all together! We have experienced a decrease in eggs the past couple weeks due to so many molting now.

It usually happens around fall, but since my ladies are almost a year old, they’re molting now. It can last anywhere from 4-12 weeks! Last week, I was getting 3-12 eggs a day (from 60+ ladies!) Earlier this week, I was getting back up to 40 eggs a day. I am now back to 30 or less a day.

💥💥Don’t worry though! I still have plenty of eggs for sale, so don’t forget to stop in and buy some!💥💥

It’s a very interesting process their bodies go through. It’s supposed to be to prep them for the winter with new feathers, but we’re backwards here! The cool thing about them getting back to laying is the egg sizes we see until they get back to their normal.

Left picture: A frizzle lady molting! I caught her while she was taking a drink.

Right picture: Two fairy eggs 🧚, one jumbo egg (two times the size of a normal egg) & a normal egg (the blue one!)

🦆 I also have duck eggs available too! Duck eggs are $6.00/dozen! 🦆

The calendar said it’s spring, even though Mother Nature doesn’t approve yet! Eggs are back in the stand - I’ve been trying to adjust the temp of the fridge, so if you encounter any problems with the eggs don’t hesitate to message me!

I’ve been using up “old eggs” by making pickled eggs and am going to use some more for Easter - deviled eggs, painting.

Come get your eggs for $3/dozen, farm fresh!

🔥 Did you know that farm fresh eggs last longer than store bought? Mine have been in my fridge (with the bloom washed off) for four months already! 🤩

6 bowl covers waiting to be shipped to their new home! 🥳 2 extra large that fit up to a 13” bowl and 4 large that fit up to a 10” bowl. I also make covers to fit mason jars (reg. mouth & wide mouth).

If interested, please feel free to message me to order! 😊

Happy New Year! 🎆

My eggs will be sold from my porch until spring time. We try to plow around the egg stand to keep it accessible for everyone. However, the power cord is still above ground. When my husband or I have been plowing, we’ve been unintentionally pulling the cord out and not realizing until days later, that the fridge in the egg stand has been without power. So until we can bury it in the spring, I’m having to sell from my porch so the eggs stop freezing. I know this may make everyone less likely to buy from me between the egg freezing disasters & having to actually come face to face with me to get the eggs. I hope everyone will still continue to buy from me regardless of this slight change!

Please press my ring doorbell so I know you’re here & I will meet you at the door to hand you as many cartons of eggs that you would like!

Sorry for such a hassle this has been. After burying the power cord this spring, I’m also hoping to put a door on which should also help with the following winter.

I hope everyone has a fantastic year! 🐓 🥚

Hi everyone!

Two customers have found cracked eggs in their containers. Please get a hold of me if you find any when you’re buying from me! It’s like buying from a store, I don’t want you going home with broken eggs. And if no one says anything, I don’t know about it!

Also, please know that things happen. Eggs crack easily in the cold. I had some that I heard crack as I was walking out of the coop with the basket of them - just because of the temperature difference between the coop and the outside air. They also crack sometimes just when I touch them in the nesting box to collect for the day. I feed those back to my hens. Eggs are sensitive to quick temperature changes. So that’s just something to be aware of when you take them from the fridge in my stand to your warm car, you can also crack them just from that short & quick temperature change!

💥 I will let you replace eggs if you’ve bought any that were broken in the last two weeks because I’ve solved my fridge issue that I believe caused this batch of eggs to crack! 💥

I just ask that you be honest for how many have been cracked. Thank you! You can also use the notepad & pen in the carton return box for any issues you may have!e

Egg purchases for the month - if you’re buying only one or two dozen, they’re $3.00 per dozen. Buying 3 or more dozen (at the same time, not over multiple visits), they’re $2.00 per dozen. This is a little different from last month when it was 2 or more dozen for two dollars. However, that didn’t cover my feed cost. Hopefully this change will make the difference so I can keep providing everyone with farm fresh eggs for similar pricing that big box stores are selling for!

Also, I will be starting Christmas week incubating to hatch out chicks. First breed up will be Jersey Giants. They’re pure Jersey, so if you want to be included in this hatch batch, please send me a message! 😊

Other options are (Date TBD): Rhode Island Red, Silver Wyandotte, and frizzles.
