Finally ready to share the reason with you that I haven’t been baking lately!! 💛
There’s been a bun in the oven all along… 🤭 (you know I had to make the reference…😂)
We’re expecting baby #2 in March 2026 and are so excited. 🥹
I have been thinking a lot about what this means for Zo’s Doughs. Before getting pregnant I was planning to just keep baking throughout my pregnancy. But I have been again humbled by the intensity and challenges of pregnancy. 😆 My first trimester has been really tough, as it often is for many women.
The morning (all day) sickness made eating and cooking for myself and my family reallllyyy difficult. In fact even just the sight of my sourdough starter would nearly send me over the edge 🤢 so I had to put it in the fridge for a longer break than I’d wanted to. Not only did I have to stop my weekly bakes, but I couldn’t even manage a baking a loaf for my own family haha. So we’ve been eating store bought bread and wow have I missed baking!
Thankfully the nausea has gotten a lot better but I am still SO tired just keeping up with the basic day to day stuff. So, I’m sorry, but I’m not ready to bake for you guys quite yet. And I’m not sure when the next bake will be either. I’m just going to have to see how it goes. Most likely, I’m going to transition from weekly bakes to more of a “pop up” on occasion style thing. I will definitely keep you guys posted as things throughout this transition! 💓💓💓
Thank you for the support you’ve all shown me through!
