This was a such a fun bridal shower set. I loved adding all the tiny details and soft colors for her farmers market florals theme.

Personalizing sets to customize them for the client is my favorite. From her married initial all dressed up, to tiny initials on the flower buckets, no detail is too small!

Barnwood Baking Co is growing!

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be helping a fellow local cookie baker transition her customers and retail accounts as she enters a well-deserved cookie retirement.

I’m incredibly honored that she chose to trust me with the relationships she has built over the years. ❤️

So if you have been one of her customers—or have spotted her cookies at one of her retail locations—you may soon be seeing Barnwood Baking Co there instead!

I’m looking forward to welcoming some new faces, building new relationships, and continuing to spread a whole lot of cookie goodness throughout our community.

Hometown Friday! 🌽

This week’s pick is one that has been a local favorite for generations! The family farm was started in 1868 and has grown into the farm and market it is today.

For as long as I can remember, my grandparents frequented the market and always made sure to grab some of their world-famous corn. Today, Renee and Ben continue that family tradition, and from May through October, this farm stand is a staple in our house. ❤️

From farm-grown and locally sourced fresh produce to jams, salsas, farm-raised meats, and so much more, it’s the perfect roadside stop. And even when the farm stand closes for the season, porch pickups help us get through the winter!

As I’ve worked to streamline the ingredients I use in my baking, there’s one thing I haven’t changed—their eggs are the only eggs I use for all of my baking! 🥚

I can’t imagine many of you haven’t stopped by already, but if you’re looking to stock up on the freshest local ingredients, this is definitely a stop worth making!

Oh baby! 💛🌻 I was so excited to be trusted with this sweet baby sprinkle set for a friend’s shower!

With baby #3 on the way, she was definitely deserving of a little sprinkling of gifts and sweet treats!

The only direction I was given was sage green and sunflowers—so I ran with it! 🌻 I love when I’m given creative freedom, and this bright, sunny set came together to be the perfect addition to the celebration.

🍪 Every year, our friends host a Pond Party, and this year I got to be the official dessert lady!

In addition to 5 dozen Old-Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies and 3 dozen macarons, I also made 2 dozen decorated cookies inspired by all the outdoor fun that makes the Pond Party so special. 🔥🎣🌿

I was given complete creative freedom—which I LOVE—so I had so much fun incorporating campfires, fishing, cattails, lily pads, trees, and toasted marshmallows into the set!

🌲There’s something extra fun about getting to create desserts for a celebration you know and love (and watching ALL the treats be eaten and enjoyed!)

Hometown Friday! 🏡🍕

This week’s business is one I frequent quite often—and even if it weren’t right around the corner, I’d still make the trip for their delicious food!

From terrific pizzas to amazing subs, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Their freezers are always packed with frozen meals, soups, and frozen pizzas to take home, making it so easy to grab something delicious for later. Not to mention the friendly faces and hardworking people behind the counter and in the kitchen!

I love stopping in for food and always look forward to an uplifting chat with Brittany. And did I mention her desserts?! 🍰 The coolers are always filled with sweet treats! (Although my kids would probably tell you she’s the “ops,” 😂 I’ll admit I sneak one of her desserts every now and then!)

I also want to wish Wendy a speedy recovery! ❤️ My family is definitely missing her amazing bagels and bagel sandwiches. Trust me, my 9-year-old is a breakfast sandwich connoisseur, and hers are at the very top of his list!

Anthony’s is a staple in our house, and I think it should be one in yours, too! ❤️
