For generations, Marine Reservists have answered the call to serve, balancing their military commitment with their lives at home while remaining ready to defend our nation whenever duty calls.

To every Marine Reservist—past and present—and to the families who stand beside them, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our country.

Six months from today, we’ll be doing it all over again! ❤️

Last February, our community came together to pack and ship 10,000 cookies and thousands of handwritten cards to deployed service members across all six branches.

Now, the countdown to Mega Shipment 2027 has officially begun.

We are deeply honored to announce that Grammy's Cookie Convoy has been nominated and officially accepted into the Military Order of the Purple Heart. This recognition is a tremendous privilege and reflects our unwavering commitment to serving our nation's military, veterans, and their families. We humbly accept this honor with sincere gratitude and are proud to share the official proclamation below.

WHEREAS, Grammy’s Cookie Convoy, Montgomery, Texas, is dedicated to bring comfort, encouragement, appreciation, and hope to those who serve our nation courageously. supporting active military and veterans, especially Purple Heart veterans, and

WHEREAS , Grammy’s Cookie Convoy has fostered camaraderie among United States service men and women, veterans of overseas conflicts, serves our veterans, the military and our communities and advocates on behalf of all veterans, and

WHEREAS, Grammy’s Cookie Convoy has ensured those on active duty and veterans are respected for their service, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country and

WHEREAS The Purple Heart is the oldest military decoration in present use and was initially created as the Badge of Military Merit by George Washington in 1782; and

WHEREAS The Purple Heart was the first American service award or decoration made available to the common soldier and is specifically awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces who have been wounded or paid the ultimate sacrifice in combat with a declared enemy of the United States of America; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I Marlene Summers, of Grammy’s Cookie Convoy, Montgomery, Texas state that at a meeting of the membership of Grammy’s Cookie Convoy it was declared that we request Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 782 to consider and approve our organization in becoming a Purple Heart Supporting Charity to further our commitment to honoring the prestige of the Purple Heart, veterans, and especially Purple Heart veterans, and do hereby declare that August 7th is designated as Purple Heart Day at Grammy’s Cookie Convoy.
