I went big today for the Montgomery Farmers Market! All my favorite sourdough breads 🍞- classic, long trail, cheddar jalapeno, cinnamon raisin - GARLIC CHEDDAR BISCUITS!

Plus the SWEETS - cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, and a special "turtle" cookie with caramel and pecans

Grab a loaf and a treat for yourself today at the market from 9:30-1 or at the bread stand from 9am until sold out.

Thanksgiving bakery planning is underway. I've been test baking pies and considering the menu and timing. Now's the time to weigh in:

What days are best for pickup for your Thanksgiving items?

Is there something you would like to bring to your celebration that I can provide? I'm keeping the menu simple: pumpkin pie, yeast rolls, and one more item. What should it be?

If I was going to add one thing to my permanent menu, it would be the cheddar jalapeno loaf. Such great flavors and everyone is bummed when I don't make it. Here she is, back on the menu after a few weeks off while she gave space to allow a few other flavors to shine 🙂

Today, Saturday 10/3 is the Jay, VT Oktoberfest! I'll be there along with tons of other food trucks, craft vendors, activities, etc. 10am-3pm Come out and enjoy what promises to be a beautiful fall Vermont day! 🍁

The inclusion of a cooked porridge of oatmeal and local Montgomery maple syrup makes this sourdough loaf tender with a hint of sweetness - but not so much that you wouldn't put a turkey sandwich on it.

After a week off, I'm back baking this week! I added focaccia to the menu after what seems like months without it - if you haven't had it before, try serving with your fall soups and chilis, or make an epic grilled sandwich.

You can order ahead for Saturday pickup at the link in my profile. Focaccia will be available only via pre-order and at the markets. Not likey to hit the bread stand unless there are market leftovers.
