It's hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day on Fairfax, but we're just as excited as you about the next phase for Diamond Bakery. THE BIG QUESTION IS: What are you gonna get?!

BIG NEWS from Diamond Bakery. As some of you might have heard, things are about to change for us – but hang in there, things are only going to get BETTER!

Let's get the sad stuff out of the way first: our beloved Fairfax location will permanently close this Sunday. The building isn't holding up like it used to and all of the construction and issues on the street since COVID have made this a pretty clear, although difficult, decision.

But as Mark Twain said, "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Diamond Bakery is NOT closing, going away, or going out of business. In fact, we're GROWING! Thanks to the visionaries at , MORE people than ever will have access to Diamond's breads, pastries and Jewish specialty foods. Not only on Fairfax, but all across LA and beyond (Yes, we mean you, OC)! Our new production facility will be able to crank out MORE and better baked goods for MORE people, which means MORE locations that will soon stock your favorite Rye, Challah, and .. more! Don't worry – we're taking our recipes, bakers, and priceless 75-year-old starter with us.

I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and we'll get to them all over the next few days. But in the meantime, stop by and grab a few of your favorite treats this weekend. We're open Saturday and Sunday until we're sold out. Take a picture, bring the kids, hang out with Doug, and stay tuned for more big and exciting news from Diamond Bakery!!!!

Thank you for 77 years of support of Diamond Bakery.

Two and a half years ago we embarked on a mission to save Diamond Bakery LA on Fairfax Ave after a noble effort from the employees who attempted to keep it open after the long-time owner's son chose to just close in 2019.

A combination of factors have contributed to us having to make the difficult decision to close our physical store on Fairfax. Our last day will be this Sunday, Dec 3rd.

The Diamond Bakery brand and legacy are not over, though!

We are keeping it alive by partnering with a major bakery here in LA who will be taking on the brand and your treasured recipes and getting our bread back into grocery stores, as so many of you have asked us to do. So stay tuned for that great news in the coming days and weeks.

We will miss seeing your familiar smiling faces and hope that to see you all again in the future. Until then, we thank you for your business and support over this challenging time and look forward to celebrating the new Diamond Bakery with you in 2024!

Diamond Bakery on Fairfax NEEDS YOU!!!
Fairfax between Beverly and Oakwood is vacant, we are the only business open on our side of the street. We are struggling to keep the retail store viable. As a result we have closed Sunday - Tuesday to stop the bleeding. You can come in, call ahead, order online, send care packages across the country. We want to make it to 80 years in business but can't without your support. Thank you for reading to the end.

Keep an eye out for a feature on Diamond tonight on KTLA 5 News tonight. They stopped by this morning and interviewed our own !! Remember: We'll be closed tomorrow (Sept. 25th) for the holiday, but will open back up bright and early on Tuesday morning with a bakery full of hot, fresh pastries and breads. See you then!!
