BIG NEWS from Diamond Bakery. As some of you might have heard, things are about to change for us – but hang in there, things are only going to get BETTER!
Let's get the sad stuff out of the way first: our beloved Fairfax location will permanently close this Sunday. The building isn't holding up like it used to and all of the construction and issues on the street since COVID have made this a pretty clear, although difficult, decision.
But as Mark Twain said, "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
Diamond Bakery is NOT closing, going away, or going out of business. In fact, we're GROWING! Thanks to the visionaries at , MORE people than ever will have access to Diamond's breads, pastries and Jewish specialty foods. Not only on Fairfax, but all across LA and beyond (Yes, we mean you, OC)! Our new production facility will be able to crank out MORE and better baked goods for MORE people, which means MORE locations that will soon stock your favorite Rye, Challah, and .. more! Don't worry – we're taking our recipes, bakers, and priceless 75-year-old starter with us.
I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and we'll get to them all over the next few days. But in the meantime, stop by and grab a few of your favorite treats this weekend. We're open Saturday and Sunday until we're sold out. Take a picture, bring the kids, hang out with Doug, and stay tuned for more big and exciting news from Diamond Bakery!!!!
