When placing an order, I asked to please give me 2 days to fulfull! Accepting orders 24/7 offering pick up and delivery 🚙 My wife and I came home from Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon and my aunt surprised us with a kitchenaid mixer. I have always wanted one since I was a little girl. Always baking with my cousins at almost every sleepover. I absolutely love being in the kitchen cooking fresh food
s, and always wanted to learn to bake. At our bridal shower, we did a fun little game when people wrote down their favorite recipes for us to try different things. My wife’s friend, Cambria, shared her sourdough recipe with us. I created my very first sourdough starter, so I could use her recipe. I was nervous since I couldn’t even bake things from a box, and here I am creating a starter. If you don’t know, sourdough starter is like a little baby that needs to be fed day and night and is well taken care of. After those two weeks of waiting for my starter to develop, I tried her recipe and many other sourdough recipes. They were all a success and I could not believe it. After practicing for weeks, I started taking some items to my coworkers, & they bought everything I brought.. They all started telling me I should do something with my baking; set up at some local events and try to sell your stuff. I started thinking, ya know, that’s not a bad idea. My wife and I discussed it for a little while, and we decided it would be nice to have an extra income since we want kids of our own one day. If you don’t know, it costs us a lot of money. So that is when “Ellis’s Home Baked Goods” was born. I have always supported locals and will continue to! It is so awesome that I get to be a part of the local community and provide people with fresh/gut healthy bread with way less ingredients than store bought bread. As many of you know, store bought breads have so many unnecessary, non-nutritional ingredients compared to homemade breads. Store bought breads may seem cheaper, but you are not getting any nutritional value from it. I have full control over all my ingredients, and I can guarantee you will always receive fresh bread. Store bought breads have so many different preservatives in them that they can last on the shelf for weeks , believe it or not. Sourdough bread is a great gut healthy choice! We had our very first events, during the end of the summer every Sunday at the Dundee’s Farmer’s market. They were all a huge success and we were selling out within 1-3hrs of being set up. With that being said, I had to look into more markets to keep this business up and running, and to get my name out there more. There were several events and markets that we were able to join, and again we sold out! As the spring time is approaching we have many more events coming up and I absolutely can not wait for them! I never thought I would be doing something like this but I am so happy I took that leap of faith. The people are one of my absolute favorite parts of the events. I love providing fresh homemade baked goods with natural and local ingredients. Many other local vendors purchase lunch from us and the joy on their faces while devouring it makes me so proud of myself! I have been brainstorming lots of new ideas to continue to grow my home business. On April 25th, 2025 we reached our goal of 1k followers. I knew it was time to move forward with the next plan that I've had in mind for quite some time now. On April 27th, 2025 I decided to open up our “Porch Front Store.” I could not believe how many messages, calls, comments, shares, etc., I've received within just a few minutes of posting that we were open. I will have upcoming dates and times for future store hours. Today was my “test” day. You guys truly are amazing. I wouldn't be where I am today without any of you! Thank you all so much for supporting Ellis’s Home Baked Goods!
