Hi there! I’m Bethany, and I am so incredibly grateful you’re here.

For the last two years, my family and I have been planting our roots right here in Monroe, and this community has truly captured my heart. Life is beautifully full these days—from my incredible role as a wife, Mama and homemaker, to staying active with our church family, this life has been full of answered prayers.

My own journey is one of grace and second chances. This year marks nine years since I walked away from drugs and alcohol and began living a life clean and full of purpose. To me, sourdough is a lot like life: it requires patience, a lot of nourishing care, and the belief that something beautiful can grow from the simplest beginnings.

My sourdough journey began in the summer of 2022, during a hard postpartum season, when I started my bubbly companion, Josie. Since then, baking has rekindled the pure joy I felt in the kitchen as a little girl. With every loaf I hand-shape and every package I wrap and seal, I’m sending a piece of that joy and a whole lot of love straight to your home.

Whether we’ve met at a local market or porch sale, or you are just finding me now, please know that every treat from my cottage bakery is made with meticulous care and a heart that is truly happy to serve you.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

The real meaning behind St. Patrick's Day is not about luck, but about the power of the gospel and God's providence to transform a life from bitterness to forgiveness and freedom in Christ. Do you know the real story behind this day? ☘️

Patrick (born under the name Maewyn) was a British kidnapped slave taken to Ireland to tend to sheep in isolation. There he prayed and seeked after God, until he escaped and returned to his homeland of Great Britain. He felt called back to Ireland where he had been held captive to share about Christ and openly preached the gospel where it had never been heard before.

His writings explain that he believed his calling was to share the gospel and he describes people coming to Christ, churches being formed, and Christian communities growing across Ireland. He served as a missionary in Ireland for 30 years before he died, baptizing over 120,000 new believers and building over 300 churches during a time when much of Europe was unstable.

March 17th is the anniversary of St. Patrick's death, and it began as a holiday to commemorate this patron saint of Ireland. Most of this days' traditions are American made and have nothing to do with the saint's ministry, with the exception of the shamrock. St. Patrick used the three leaf clover to share about the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Today, let's remember a man who braved sharing the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to a land of people whom had him enslaved. Let's boldly share the life-changing story of God to all in honor of St. Patrick.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Hot Cross Buns are a traditional Easter treat and I am thrilled to be offering them again this year! Whether you enjoy them with your Easter brunch or as a sweet treat after dinner, these are the perfect addition to your holiday feast! They are a deliciously spiced sweet roll, with raisins and an iced cross on the top.

Why are these an Easter treat and what is the symbolism behind them? The glazed cross represents the crucifixion of Jesus, which is the true meaning behind this day, the ultimate sacrifice for our eternal freedom! The spices used in the buns are ones that were used traditionally in embalming Jesus after his death. The raisins represent the sweet joy that comes after Jesus' resurrection!

These golden beauties will be available Easter weekend ONLY and I am opening up pre-orders for them so you can beginning planning your Easter menu. They will come in packs of 4/$10. This will be first come first serve, so don't wait to reserve yours - spots will fill up fast! ✨️
