Happy Spring everyone, the rhubarb is almost ready! After the long cold Winter, we had and an also cold start to Spring the Rhubarb is almost ready for pie!
Opening day of pie season 2026 is May 15th.....Next Friday! I will have Strawberry Rhubarb pies ready to go for all of those who have been patiently waiting since last year.

Thank-you all so much for a fantastic pie season! I have decided not to bake pies for Christmas this year just to catch my breath and enjoy the Christmas holiday.
Pies will resume in the Spring as soon as the rhubarb is ready. We gave the patches a good healthy dose of our organic compost in the Fall, so it is quietly getting a boost for Spring.
On another note, I now have fresh eggs from our own chickens at only $5.00 / dozen! The girls are laying consistently now so I am getting 11-13 eggs a day! Please stop by and pick up as many as you need for all your holiday baking needs. They are a good size and have even gotten a couple of double yolkers!
They are free range when possible and otherwise spoiled rotten in their new coop and run. They completed their juvenile molt back in the early fall and are in full feather and happy as can be.!
The eggs are gathered daily and will be available in the pie fridge out front. As usual, try to leave exact change or if available make change from the box inside the fridge.
I'd love to build a weekly customer base!

Taking a break from pies until the New Year...but we have farm Fresh Eggs! The girls are laying beautiful fresh eggs everyday now! Stop in a pick up a dozen today. They will be out in the fridge inside the pie shed during the day!. $5.00 per dozen!

I have Cortlands again! We had a bit of a wait for more Cortland apples, but they are finally in! I will be baking pies this week apple, and also Blueberry. No cranberries this week (maybe next) Please TEXT me you orders by Thursday so I can have a solid idea of how many to make. (207) 458-4254 It is tough this time of year to know how many will actually sell, and I don't like having leftovers!

The Cortlands are ready! They are considerably smaller this year due to the drought we had this Summer, but they are finally here!
I do have some sad news about the Maine wild Blueberries, however. Due to the drought the price has risen by a staggering 30% and my supplier says they will go higher as the demand grows. soooo, Unfortunately I will have to increase the price on blueberry pies to $35.00. the blueberry /cranberry combinations as well. I truly hope it will end there but, only time will tell as we go into the Fall and Winter months.
Apple pies will remain at $30.00 even though I have to use more apples than usual to make a full pie (NO One LIKES a SKIMPY pie after all..)
Chicken pot pies this Winter (starting in Mid January) will remain at $40.00

I don't usually offer apple pies this early in September as the Cortlands are not ready yet. BUT....I got a full box of Zestar apples from the local packing company and these are pretty amazing apples. Tart, but sweet, nice and firm and I am thinking that they will make a great pie.
I will start with 12 pies this Friday some traditional tops an a few crumble tops as well. Of course, there will still be blueberry and blueberry/cranberry combinations also (but fewer than usual, Apple pies take a lot more work which takes more time) text me your orders, as this really helps to know how many I may need to make this time of year.

There are plenty of wild Maine blueberry pies in the fridge for the holiday weekend, stop in and grab one, they tend to go pretty quickly! There are also blueberry/cranberry combinations.
