Are you looking for something different to do in a private setting where you and your friends can get that much needed time together all while creating something unique?! Ask me about candle making group classes! These will be small group (no more than 8 participants) parties with adult supervision included the entire time. Children under the age of 18 (sorry, due to risk and safety concerns, no child under the age of 11 is allowed to participate, but they are welcome to the event with supervision) are required to have some form of prior agreement of their own adult supervision and will also be required to have this adult sign a waiver for the group to keep everyone safe. Additionally, I will always be a required adult supervisor at these events. Your group will get to choose their own vessel provided in your event cost. From there, we will talk about the fragrance wheel basics, and each participant will get to experiment with different smells until they find the perfect match! We will then wick your vessel and get your wax and fragrance ready to be poured! You even get to name and label your own candle! Once they are poured and your group is done, your candle pick up time will be 3 hours from when you leave the event. This gives your candle a chance to solidify and make a safe journey home. We will go over care and instructions for your candle as you wait for it to cure (any great candle takes a cure time, I promise!) and the beauty is that this takes place downtown Moline, IL.! Those 3 hours can easily be filled with a nice walk on the river, a cruise on the channel cat, some lunch with your group, maybe some local small business shopping and drinks or possibly a good old fashioned ice cream sundae from Lagomarcino's! If you are not able to pick up the same day, that is no problem at all! We can arrange a date later in the week for pick up! These events will cost $60/person and includes a wine cooler for your wine, (please, no hard liquor. We ask that you stick to wine, beer, or seltzers) please bring a cooler for your other drinks to stay cool, and also a charcuterie board to snack on during your event!
