🌟 Help Us Welcome More Young Chefs Into the Kitchen! 🌟

We believe every child who dreams of cooking and baking should have the opportunity to learn, create, and grow in the kitchen. That’s why we’ve set aside a few scholarship spots in each of our kids and teen cooking classes for aspiring young chefs who may not otherwise be able to participate.

Do you know a child or teen who would love to join one of our classes? We’d love to hear from you! To nominate a young chef, please email us their name, the class you think they’d enjoy, and a few words about why you’re nominating them.

Would you like to help make these opportunities possible? We are also looking for community members who would like to sponsor a scholarship spot for a child or teen. Simply send us an email, and we’ll provide all the details.

We’re so excited to bring more young people into the kitchen and can’t wait to cook, bake, learn, and create alongside the next generation of local chefs and bakers! ❤️🍞🧁

Summer baking season is here, and we’re kicking things off with one of our favorite classes on June 16th! ☀️🍓🥖

Join us as we celebrate the best of the season with fresh, locally grown fruit and beautiful summer bakes. In this hands-on class, we’ll create a stunning French plum tart, strawberry basil focaccia, and other seasonal treats that highlight the incredible produce coming from our local farms.

Whether you’re looking to expand your baking skills, connect with fellow food lovers, or simply spend an evening creating something delicious, this class is the perfect way to welcome summer.

And because our sourdough classes continue to fill quickly, we’ve added a second Sourdough Basics class for June on June 24th! If you’ve been hoping to learn the fundamentals of naturally leavened bread, now’s your chance to grab a spot.

We can’t wait to bake with you! 🍑🍞✨

It’s almost here!

This coming Tuesday in our Daily Breads class, we’ll dive deep into making bagels, English muffins, and honey wheat bread. These wholesome, delicious breads are the kind your family will reach for again and again.

Not only does this class include sourdough recipes, but all three recipes also come with a poolish option for those times in life when things are just extra busy. Baking homemade bread can still fit into real life!

We only have TWO spots left!

This honey wheat loaf made with a poolish is everything I love in an everyday bread. A blend of organic bread flour and whole wheat, lightly sweetened with honey and softened with just a touch of olive oil for a loaf that’s wholesome, tender and perfect for daily use.

While long fermented sourdough can offer incredible nutritional benefits, sometimes a yeasted loaf simply feels more accessible for families and everyday schedules. Baking bread with simple wholesome ingredients that nourish the people you love is always a worthwhile goal.

Our upcoming Daily Breads class includes sourdough, hybrid and yeasted recipes to help make everyday baking approachable and accessible for everyone, no matter where you are in your bread journey. If you’d like to see more classes like this, let us know below! ⬇️

One of the things I love most about this bagel recipe is the flexibility. You can make them with instant yeast only, sourdough only, or a combination of sourdough and instant yeast.

Using instant yeast gives you a nice, consistent rise which can be especially helpful when working around the demands of the day. You can have fresh bagels from start to finish in about 4-5 hours. Using both sourdough and yeast gives you the added benefits and flavor depth of sourdough while still keeping that reliable rise. And going the full sourdough route takes a little more time, but rewards you with the most flavor and digestibility.

For the bagels pictured here, I chose to use both. But instead of shaping and proofing them one last time at room temperature, I shaped them and let them rest in the fridge for about 18 hours. The result was a beautifully chewy bagel that stayed soft and was full of flavor.

We’ll be covering recipes and techniques just like this in our Daily Breads class on May 26th. One of the most important parts of bread baking, in my humble opinion, is making it easy and accessible. Because feeding and nourishing yourself and your family is one of the most meaningful parts of baking.

Join us for a special Bake with Mom class on May 5th 💐

Because let’s be honest… you might have a mom, she might be the bomb, but ain’t nobody got a mom like yours 💛

We’ll spend the evening baking something beautiful together, sharing a few laughs, and making the kind of memories that stick long after the flour is gone.

Bring your mom, your favorite person, or come treat yourself… this night is all about connection, joy, and a little bit of sweetness! 🍪
