Flashback Friday to my very first wedding cake!

This cake was for the absolute sweetest couple ever! I’m so glad to have gotten to know them during our cake tasting consultation.

Rachel & Ethan are so charismatic and radiate such loving energy. I remember thinking, “These two were made for each other” just minutes after us meeting.

I was so honored to make their wedding cake. I’ll never forget watching them cut into it and getting all teary-eyed while they enjoyed their first piece of cake as husband and wife.

One of my favorite parts of making a wedding cake is watching it come together at the venue.

Nothing beats putting the final touch on it, and then stepping back to admire what I just created.

I love how the soft shades of pink and purple are accented by the bright fresh flowers, gorgeous pearls and a delicate silver shimmer.

I’ve been holding off posting this cake for an entire week. I just couldn’t think of what I wanted to say.

This is definitely my favorite cake I’ve done so far. I wish I could’ve locked it away in a glass box forever because it made me so happy to look at it. But enjoying it with dozens of friends was way better. Thank you Arrie for trusting me to capture Miss Aj’s sweetness.
