Hi everyone!
It's King Cake season and yep, I will be making king cakes again this year. However, we've been car less for 3 months now and hoping I will have transportation to deliver soon.
With that in mind, I will take pre-orders for king cakes with meet ups place and time to take place.

Surgery was at 730 a.m. CST
(Will post X-ray imaging and back of neck pics later. )

Surgery went well. Just got in my room from recovery (it's 344 p.m. now).

Lots of pain. Very tired.. will be here for 4-7 days.
And then it's a very long recovery with physical therapy, bed rest, extremely limited activity and rest. So no baking until hopefully Christmas if not next year 😢 And so that means a big chunk of income. So that means, no baking until hopefully December or starting January 6th for KING CAKES!! Plus we care for about 12+ neighborhood stray/abandoned cats and it takes a lot to do that plus our 7 cats!

They are removing old hardware from previous 3 surgeries and performing :

Posterior Arthrodesis (spinal fusion) C2-T2, with fusion and cadaver bone allograft .

I'm tired. In pain and going to try to go back to sleep. Happy Tuesday y'all

Celebrating my first borns birthday (10/2) a few days early on account I will be in the hospital this week (4-7 days) for cervical spine surgery on Tuesday, 9/30. They are replacing bone, removing old hardware, adding rods, screws, pins and cage from C2-T2.

I've been a bit MIA lately and have been taking a break. Running back and forth to appointments for an upcoming 4th spinal surgery and resting, taking care of stuff around the house, spending time with my family. I am open and available for orders. I have a limited number of items on marketplace as all items are made to order and not on hand unless otherwise specified (or posted here).

I hope you are all doing well, and the kiddos enjoying summer vacation.

If you need anything for your 4th of July gatherings and celebrations, let me know. Cut off for ordering is July 1st.

50% non-refundable deposit due at time of order placement on ALL orders.

I will also only deliver with an added delivery fee.

And meetups for pickups will only take place at The Chevron located on the corner of Ziegler and University per an agreed upon time. If you're running late, let me know. Otherwise 15 minutes past pickup is a forfeiture of product and deposit.

Custom birthday cookie cake for a sweet customer and the Father's day cookie cake I did for hubs and my Dad (made them each one)

My writing is a bit shaky due to cervical spine issues causing numbness and tingling in my hands and arms and I'm having a 4th cervical spine surgery in September if not sooner. But I will keep everyone updated in case the date is changed. And then following surgery, I will not be able to do any baking for a few weeks. But that will cut into Halloween and if you know me, Halloween is our absolute favorite and nothing's going to stop me from Spooky Bakes and treat making! Lol. (I still go trick or treating too! 😀 )

Just a random bake this evening for a late night treat.

I picked 5 cups of blackberries this evening and mixed in 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries, lemon zest with a brown sugar cinnamon oat crumble topping for a fresh Blackberry Strawberry fruit crisp.

I was surprised to even find blackberries this late in the season but passing by, I couldn't help but notice them. So I stopped. Got an hour of walking, fresh air all while it was thundering and dark clouds rolling in. It was very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable.
