Last Thursday Kai and I had the honor to be a part of Plates & Playmakers, a fundraising event to fight hunger in Minnesota. We were among a dozen chefs featured to serve 400 guests over the course of the evening, no pressure! We made sure to give it our best so it was a no brainer to showcase the bakery with a bevy of our very best cookies. We baked over 2000 cookies large and small, the minis for the tables and our big chocolate chip cookie individually wrapped for a takeaway treat. Kai and I had a wonderful time working and mixing it up with chefs and other figures in the culinary community. It was a memorable evening and something truly special to take part in, especially all the more recounting stories the next day with our team, who all contributed to the efforts for the event. Thank you Gavin Kaysen for the opportunity to play with you and the chefs for such a memorable evening.

The weekend bakes are so busy I rarely have a moment to stop and take pictures but our bakers did such a beautiful job with the cakes and tarts I had to share a few here from Mother’s Day weekend. Wow, what a weekend it was! We jammed the cases as full as we possibly could and boy, the turnout was epic, everyone showed up and made haul after haul. The line was long but the team hustled to make it move fast and we hope you enjoyed all that we had to offer. Thank you to everyone for visiting our bakery this weekend. There are still many blessings to celebrate in this world, especially our mothers and we thank you for making space for us during this special family tradition 🌸💕
