Another wonderful farmers market experience is in the books! Southwest Farmers Market Neighborhood Roots This time I had a different spot at the market which gave me a chance to meet a new neighboring vendor. So nice to meet you ! The other next vendor neighbor was with their beautifully decorated stands full of fresh produce! Right across new friends Adventures in a Tiny Kitchen (Thanks very much for the pix, Lance!) and ImmuniGreens Microgreens took place with their pickled greatness and incredibly nutritious micro greens. I was able to do a quick stop at Arepa time only very briefly to wish their mother chef a happy belated birthday! They truly make the best arepas IMHO! At this market Broders' Pasta Bar treated all vendors and attendees with fresh heirloom tomatoes salad samples made by their gifted chef! And last but not least big shout out to my atomic ant, helping hand younger son! Thanks everyone, especially a few of my friends, stopping by, bringing their bright smily faces and supportive energy to my stand and purchasing Baklavas, Pides and GFDF Muffins from for their gatherings!! Who is behind Mystic Apron ? ☺️ The micro-baker Pınar Başgöze is a pianist, piano teacher at MacPhail Center for Music ,collaborative musician, one half of Duo Harmonia - Basgoze-Pinto Piano Duo , mother of two fascinating humans, wife of another fantastically creative artist, sister of incredibly talented fire ball Zeynep Basgoze ,daughter of two amazingly and wholeheartedly humanitarian retired agricultural engineers Mine Başgöze, grand daughter of reputable home cooks and bakers who taught Pinar the family recipes, and last but not least daughter in law of extremely supportive, also humanitarian and great cooks parent in laws. Mary Lou Iverson Pinar is very humbled and thrilled by the millions of new and exciting things to learn about being a baker and getting introduced to the great farmers market communities! Look forward to greeting you all at the next farmers market on 08/22 at Southwest Farmers Market Neighborhood Roots This sweet piece is an evocative, nostalgic piece called “White Noon” by contemporary Japanese composer Naoko Ikeda, which I explored last night whilst waiting for my bread dough to proof. ☺️🍞🙏🏼 Hope you all enjoy it! The third experience of being a part of farmers market community at Southwest Farmers Market was so amazing, gratifying and full of surprises!! Mystic Apron stall was thrilled with the visits of all the market attnedees as well as the visits of Representative İlhan Omar Ilhan Omar ; my dear friend and colleague Stacy Canino and her wife; my dear piano professor Paul Shaw and his wife Anne Paolini; my late professor (from Turkey years) Erfuz Edguer’s daughter İdil, granddaughter Lara and her wife Amanda!! 😍❤️🧿😍❤️🧿😍❤️🧿
Mystic Apron was also blessed with the presence of my sister Zeynep Basgoze and my eldest son having helped me a lot during the market! 🙏🏼😍🧿❤️🙏🏼😍🧿❤️
There is a lot to learn and I feel fortunate to have this opportunity. It is lovely to notice that Mystic Apron started building regular customers!! Overall another great experience!! I am thankful! 🙏🏼😍🧿❤️🧿😍🙏🏼

Mystic Apron had another exciting day at South West Farmers Market yesterday! The baked-from-the heart goods are almost sold out, except two packages of walnuts baklava and two packs of decadent chocolate rosemary muffins, out of 46 packages of baked items-16 packs of variety of muffins (chocolate rosemary, banana chocolate chip, orange cranberry), 15 Pides (plain with sesame, cranberry walnuts, olive parmesan), 15 packs of walnut and pistachio baklavas!! Thanks a million to all the market attendees, and surely my helping muse Zeynep Basgoze !!! Next market day is August 8th at South West Farmers Market!! A little tale of baking Sesame Pide, Olive-Parmesan Pide, Pistachio Baklava, Decadent Chocolate-Rosemary GFDF muffins and Orange-Cranberry GFDF muffins this weekend… These are delivered to ever so lovely customers with joy for them to share these beauties for a book club gathering and a 60th wedding anniversary celebration!! Maiden voyage of Mystic Apron at South West Farmers Market [Neighborhood Roots] was successfully and gratefully accomplished this past Sunday, 06/27/26. It was a wonderful surreal experience to have started such a gratifying journey. Thanks to my energy booster one and only sister Zeynep Basgoze for her help at the market! Thanks to my dear friend Gulin Oz and my dear neighbor Inna Fraser for lending me all the equipment to help me out with setting up my first ever stand. Thanks to my wonderful hubby, my sons, my parents always letting me be, follow and take courageous steps to realize my dreams. Thanks to my friends and all the farmers’ market goers coming by, saying hello, buying my produce, and giving me such positive feedback! Except just a few baklava packages everything I baked for this market were sold out!!! I am thrilled and humbled. 🙏🏼🧿♥️🤗♥️🧿🙏🏼 Thank you!!
Mystic Apron will be having a stall again at Southwest Farmers’ Market on July 25th, between 10 am - 1 pm. Hope to see you friends there again!
