Knowing how many people shop farmer's markets in VA helps us explain how important markets are to our communities.When you visit the MFM this Saturday, you'll get a little green sticker - that's how we'll figure out how many fine folks came to see us! (No need for more than one sticker per human, please - we don't want to break Becky's brain 🤪)

Another market day is upon us. This week we will be bringing a sample of our Pamela starter, our 200+ year-old. Just wanted to let you see what makes our bread. We will bringing others as the summer goes by.
This week's offerings will be: Basil Bread, Rosemary Bread, Cinnamon Swirl and Cinnamon Raisin.
Our sweets are Fresh Raspberry Cream Muffins, Fresh Kiwi-Strawberry Scones and Fresh Raspberry Cream Tea Scones. We have Banana Bread and Boston Brown Bread. To round things out there is an Old Fashioned Sourdough/French Custard Bread Pudding.

We missed our regular market time last week. John had eye surgery on Wednesday and needed to go back on Thursday to check lens placement. Everything turned out great and he went back today for recheck. Everything is healing well and he now has 20 20 vision in that eye. To say the least there was no time for baking.
This week at the market we will have Lemon Crumb Muffins. Our scones will be Orange Dreamsicle and Mango White Chocolate.
We will have the following breads this week: Italian Herb w/ Garlic. Olive/Dill, Rosemary, Cinnamon Raisin, Cinnamon Swirl, Boston Brown Bread and Banana Bread. There will be an assortment of Dinner Rolls. Focaccia will be available in a variety of flavors.
***4th of July weekend we will have Cheddar Dill bread. Orders are already coming in. Reserve yours now. I only make this bread 3 times a year.

Hi, Guys. It's late, finally left the kitchen. Gonna have a bite to eat and hit the bed. Tomorrow we have all the same breads. Lots of dinner rolls. Our muffin this week is triple chocolate. We have two scones this week - 1. Coconut Lime and 2. Maple Oat Walnut. I usually save this for special events, but gosh, you're special all the time. Come and enjoy our market. More and more items are added each week.

What an amazing day we had last Saturday - almost like a homecoming. Not only did we see our clients again but we got to see our vendor buddies also. John and I had so much fun and we hope you did too. I hope you will be able to join us tomorrow if you could not be there last week.
This weeks breads will be: White, Rosemary, Italian, Cinnamon Swirl and Cinnamon Raisin, Boston Brown Bread and Banana Bread.

This weeks Muffin will be Blackberry Cream. I know, blackberries aren't ripe yet. Mine are still blooming. I had to buy some. These dudes are almost as large as a quarter. John and I just had to get one for ourselves. These moist, gargantuan, morsels of Mother Natures bounty are to die for.
Scones - You asked for them, and asked for them and asked for them last week. We will have Orange Dreamscicles with white chocolate, Yum, yum.

This week we're having another secret song. It has nothing to do with the scones or muffins but if you're the first to get it, you win either a muffin or scone.
