Between substitute teaching all week and the market baking today, it’s been a week! Honestly? It’s easier to smack down dough than an 8th grader’s attitude. Here is the menu for tomorrow with some extra fun because it’s kids day at Enderis Park.

We’re putting the tentative menu out early this week. As the market season winds down, we’re trying to fit in one more round of favorites and a little bit of something new.

Pane blanco with cheese, pizza seasonings, olive oil, and fresh basil, Nana’s famous cinnamon rolls, raspberry cream cheese crowns, loaves of both oatmeal and black bread, OG Spotted Cow beer biscuits, bacon and cheese biscuits, blueberry biscuits, peanut butter cookies, triple chip cookies, orange-apricot-ginger cream scones, Mississippi Mud cake, apple hand pies, and peach-Tajin galettes.

Hello! It smells like heaven and chocolate here in the Big Yellow Farmhouse. Chocolate and marshmallows and cake means Mississippi Mud Cake. Nana was reminiscing about her Grandma Smith who was the first person she knew who made it. Chocolate cake, tender with sour cream, topped with chopped pecans, melted marshmallows, and chocolate frosting.

Good morning! It’s another baking day here at the Big Yellow Farmhouse, and the house will start smelling amazing in about an hour or so as we get the ovens going.

The baking menu for this week is:

Pane Blanco swirled with pesto and mozzarella
Cheddar and dill bread using fresh dill from the market last week
Honey whole wheat bread
Nana’s famous cinnamon rolls
Braided lemon-filled bread
Spotted Cow beer biscuits
Irish Red whole wheat biscuits
Bacon-cheddar southern biscuits
Jalapeño cornbread
Lemon-Blueberry loaves
Fancy-schmancy Krispy treats (browned butter and pink Himalayan salt)
Peach cobbler
Mississippi Mud cake
White chocolate macadamia nut cookies
Snickerdoodles

We will also have our homemade bags, embroidered tea towels, adorable pillowcase dresses, and other crafts for you to check out!

Happy baking day! We’ll be back at Enderis Park tomorrow from 9-1. We sold out early last week (before 10:30!), so come early for the best selection. And, as always, if you want me to put something back for you, just let me know so I’ll have it when you get to the market.

Tomorrow’s breads include the baked beauties below.

The wreath is a new bread and it’s a keeper! Apricot, orange and pecans with brown sugar. Yes, we cut into it immediately to see if it is actually market worthy. (It is!!)

And everyone’s favorite black bread, deeply flavored with a tender crumb. It has all the depth of coffee, cocoa, molasses, and honey.

Joining these will be:

Pane blanco with olive oil, mozzarella, oregano, and black pepper.

Nana’s cinnamon rolls perfect since 1964.

Honey whole wheat made with Firefly Farms honey—thanks, Brandon!

Spotted Cow beer biscuits. The original!

Irish Beer Biscuits. The cousin visiting from Dublin. Made with Irish whole wheat flour and Titletown’s Johnny Blood Red.

Banana Pecan Bread and Lemon Poppy Seed Bread bring sweetness and light to your kitchen.

Pecan Toffee Bars, Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookies, and old-fashioned oatmeal pecan cookies round out the day. And who knows? We may bring a little something something extra depending on the weather report.

Yeast breads:

Italian herb focaccia. Dimpled and tender. $8

White bread. $8 Simple and perfection.

Sourdough crumb cake. As shown in the picture. $12 for a 9” sky-high round. Cinnamon, vanilla, and almond.

Quick Breads:

Cinnamon coffee cake. You can never go wrong with the original. $10.

Apricot-orange cream scones. $8/ half dozen.

Spotted cow beer biscuits. $5/ half dozen.

Sweets:

Chocolate toffee pecan bars $8/ half-dozen. Rich and decadent!

Snickerdoodle. $5/ half dozen. Fun to say. Fun to eat!

Woohoo! We’re back!!

Starting this week, Wednesday will be our baking day, so you’ll need to get your order to us before 5 pm on Tuesday. Pickup will be between 5 and 6 Wednesday evening here at the Big Yellow Farmhouse. As always, cash, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted!

Menu for pickup on Wednesday, March 1:

Garlicky, buttery, cheesy Pane Blanco. $10/loaf

Requested by Nana and our favorite Frau Kearney, the whole grain goodness of Harvest Grains loaves. Four types of grains and four types of seeds create a delicious toothsome texture. $9/loaf

The sweet and tart raspberry crowns with a creamy cream cheese and raspberry filling. $12/crown

Beer biscuits. $5/half dozen

Our cookies are light and dark this week and also $5/dozen.

The light and sour cream tangy Southern Cream Cookies with a sugar crust on top.

The deep sugary crinkle of Molasses Spice Cookies.
