Annnnnnnnnnd my NEW cookie flavor will be there - Red Velvet Brigadeiro. A red velvet cookie base, white chocolate chips, and a silky white Brigadeiro center. Rich, velvety, and delicately sweet.

Brigadeiro — A traditional Brazilian bon bon known for its rich, silky, fudgy center.

Hi friends! I hope everyone is doing well and slowly recovering from the storm.

We’re finally getting back into the swing of things, and I’m happy to share that we will be open tomorrow from 9 AM–7 PM!

Since the storm set us back on ingredients, materials, and prep, I only have a limited amount of cookies available this week (no pre-orders this week).I may or may not be open on Saturday as well but I’ll keep you all updated!

To everyone who has been working hard to restore power, our first responders, and all those helping our community get back on its feet,thank you! Your hard work and dedication mean so much. Please enjoy a cookie on me as a small token of my appreciation!

I know it’ll take some time for things to feel normal again, but I hope that a little something sweet can bring a bit of joy to someone’s day. 🥰

**BAKERY UPDATE — TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS**

Hi friends! Due to tropical storm Isaias and the possibility of unsafe weather conditions, the bakery will be closed this weekend.

If you placed a PRE-ORDER, your order is safe and will still be available for you. To make things easier and give everyone more flexibility, I’ve opened up TODAY for pickup until 10 PM and THURSDAY from 9 AM–7 PM.

If you had already rescheduled your pickup with me for Thursday but would now like to pick up today, just send me a message through here or Hotplate and let me know.

If neither today nor Thursday works for you, that’s completely okay. Just let me know, and we can work out a new pickup date for next week. The exact timing will depend on the storm and its aftermath, and I’ll keep you updated once I know when it’s safe to resume pickups.

I’m putting everyone’s safety first. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the weather. Please stay safe, and I’ll keep you posted with any updates!

🌧️ RE-OPENING/PREORDER PICKUP UPDATE 🌧️

Hi friends! With the possibility of bad weather this weekend, I want to give everyone with a Friday or Saturday preorder a little flexibility.

If you have a preorder for Friday or Saturday, you can choose to move your pickup to THURSDAY, Oct. 8, from 9 AM–7 PM.

I’ve already sent a message through Hotplate to everyone with a preorder, so this post is also a reminder in case you missed it.

If you’d like to switch to Thursday, please MESSAGE ME THROUGH HOTPLATE WITH YOUR PREFERRED PICKUP TIME, and I’ll take care of the rest!

If you’d rather keep your original Friday or Saturday pickup, that’s completely fine too. If the weather makes pickup unsafe or difficult, we can always reschedule your order for a future pickup.

As for walk-up availability this weekend, that is TBD. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather and will post updates as we get closer, so please check back here for the latest information.

GLUTEN-FREE Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie 🍪

So many of you have been asking for a gluten-free option, and it’s finally here!

A rich, gluten-free chocolate chip cookie layered with the nutty depth of brown butter, Ghirardelli milk and dark chocolate, and semisweet chocolate chips. Finished with a light sprinkle of sea salt for a balanced of deep caramelized flavor and bittersweet chocolate.

A classic cookie, just made gluten-free.

I’m hoping to experiment with more gluten-free flavors in the future, but for now, I’m really excited to finally have one on the menu.

This giveaway is especially meaningful because it celebrates ONE YEAR of Rica’s Timeless Treats.

I’ve been baking on and off for over 15 years, but for most of that time, I always treated baking as a side business. I never really believed I could make a living from it. Even with a Culinary Arts degree, I thought maybe I needed to go back to school, find a higher paying job, and figure out a different path if I wanted to eventually become a mom (bc one income household is almost unrealistic today, Am I right!?).

But somehow, no matter what direction I looked in, baking always found its way back to me.

And now I’ve realized I can have my cake and eat it too.

I get to focus on the things I love most, being present for my children while also getting to create, bake, and build something from home. And I get to do this because of you.

You started as my customers, but over this past year, so many of you have become friends, supporters, cheerleaders, and people I genuinely look forward to seeing.

You probably don’t realize how much every order, kind message, recommendation, review, share, and conversation has meant to me. It’s the reason I put so much love, effort, and intention into what I make.

You’ve given me the opportunity to do something I truly love, and I will never take that for granted.
