If you’ve noticed a little change around here, don’t worry, Caytlyn’s Crust & Crumb isn’t going anywhere. It’s simply growing into the dream God placed in my heart.

I wanted to share why this change means so much to me.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of living a simple, intentional life. I dream of waking up on our own little slice of heaven, gathering fresh eggs from the chicken coop, tending to a garden overflowing with beautiful vegetables, picking fruit from trees we’ve planted, caring for animals, preserving the harvest, baking bread from scratch, and filling our home with the kind of warmth that only homemade things can bring.
That dream is much bigger than a bakery.
It’s a homestead.
Now, before anyone says “But you don’t have a homestead…” you’re right. Not yet.
Right now, I have a tiny little kitchen, a heart full of dreams, and a God who specializes in doing big things with small beginnings. Like every dream worth chasing, this one takes time. It takes hard work, sacrifice, patience, and a whole lot of faith.
My husband has been faithfully working toward our family’s future in his own way, and I’ve been steadily working toward it in mine. Every loaf of sourdough, every batch of cookies, every homemade dessert, every recipe I test, every spice blend I mix, every infused oil I create, every jar I preserve, every craft I make, and every new skill I learn is another step toward the life we’re believing for.
I’ll be honest though for the past 6 months or so, there have been days when I’ve looked around my little kitchen and felt discouraged. I wondered how something so small could ever help build such a big dream.
Then one day, God changed my perspective.
He reminded me that this tiny little kitchen isn’t standing in the way of my dream. It might just be the very place He’s using to make it happen.
That realization changed everything.
Instead of seeing a small kitchen, I started seeing a place full of opportunity.
A place where I can learn.
A place where I can create.
A place where I can serve others.
A place where I can build something that, Lord willing, helps turn our dream into reality.
That’s why this isn’t just a name change. It’s a change in vision.
Caytlyn’s Crust & Crumb Homestead Kitchen gives me the freedom to share everything I love, not just baking, but all the old-fashioned, homemade skills that make a house feel like a home.
You’ll still see fresh sourdough, breads, cookies, cakes, and sweet treats.
But you’ll also see canning, pantry staples, homemade spice blends, infused oils, seasonal recipes, crafts, DIY projects, preserving traditions, and all the little things that make this lifestyle so special. Most of all, this page is becoming a place where I can document the journey—not from someone who’s already “made it,” but from someone who’s trusting God one faithful step at a time.
I’m placing this business in His hands.
I’m placing my dreams in His hands.
And I’m placing my tiny little kitchen in His hands.
Because if God can use a shepherd boy with a sling, fishermen with empty nets, and a few loaves and fish to accomplish incredible things, I believe He can use a little kitchen to begin writing a beautiful story too.
