This blackberry buttercream was amazing, and it tasted sooooo good with the honey cake inside. No, just cuz it has honey in the name does not mean it was super sweet. I don't like really sweet desserts, so I actually try to make all my cakes less sweet. That's actually the reason I switched from American buttercream to swiss meringue buttercream. It makes all the difference.

It's finally cold here and I am currently in super cozy clothes about to eat some daal chawal (the most basic but delicious Indian food). I started my morning by going to the farmer's market and getting an amaaazing danish from . Safe to say, I'm having a good day. No one will ever be able to convince me that hot weather is better than cozying up at home in a blanket. Give me a ❄❄❄ if you're also team fall/winter.

How is it already November and thiis is the first Fall dessert I'm posting? 😭😭😭 Actually its probably because there's no such thing as fall in the Bay Area. I miss fall in the East Coast.
Anyways, these are my super moist pumpkin spice cupcakes with maple cream cheese frosting.

I'm so exhausted.
I love making treat boxes, but they are soooooo much work! Which is why I only offer them once every few months. Ok, time to lie down in bed and do nothing the rest of the day. Byeeeeeee.

My first wedding cake. ❤
I've always wanted to make a wedding cake, and I was finally given the opportunity to just a few weeks ago. It is somewhat because of covid I got to make this cake since it was a mini tiered cake for a covid size wedding. You can't really tell how small it is in the picture, but it was probably only 10" tall. Hopefully this will be the first of many more weddings cakes I'll get to make!
The inside was earl grey cake layers filled with lemon curd and vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. The perfect cake for a backyard wedding!

Honey Blackberry Cake.
I had no idea how this cake would taste, but it was amaaaaazing. For the cake, I adapted vanilla cake to make it a honey cake. I felt super smart doing it lol because when you add honey you can to adjust the sugar, liquids, and baking soda in the recipe. I used recipe for the blackberry curd and blackberry buttercream. If you haven't had blackberry curd before, you're missing out.
