These are hotdog rolls. We make them everyday. I have already made a cuter post about this, and Facebook messed me up, so anyway, they are a great roll for your hotdogs on a bright sunny day like today.

Sort of unrelated…unless you are looking forward to our Fig Blue Cheese Focaccia…. This is what I see out the back window of the bakery!☺️ One of the several fig trees Armand planted and nurtured over the years♥️ ( You can see the bakery lightbulb in the photo🙄) I was afraid the winter may have been too much for them - I should never have doubted them !!
It’s Saturday. We open at 8. And we have a lot of orders ! I’ve got to get back to the oven😆

It is a beautiful day🌞☀️. I was going to suggest a perfect day for a cook out: We have the rolls, breads, and pizza dough ( and the same tomorrow- freshly made and baked tomorrow 😊!), but then I saw Jodi’s cupcakes on display, and suddenly it was a perfect day for a cupcake 🥰! ….I have my own peculiar way of eating them…. Stop by! We also have plenty of scones and cookies, made by our other sweets baker, Leslie♥️. Ok,ok, lest I forget: danish, croissants and sticky buns made by the crackerjack Patrick !

gave me this flag and the marker last year, after their Memorial Day flag display in Bicentennial Park was over. They do the display every year, and it truly fills you with emotion. I recommend visiting it. Armand was a young man when he joined the Marines, but a little older than most of them. He was proud to be a Marine, till the day he died, some sixty years later. But like so many men and women in the armed services, that’s not all he was. He was a mentor, a husband, a father, a grassroots organizer, a Phillies fan, many, many other things, and an Italian bread baker ♥️ Please remember everyone and anyone you knew who served, today; Memorial Day. Remember those who died in service to our country, and those who came back, changed forever, and went on with their lives. Hey guys! It’s only 10:45 and we have nothing left! You know we are open tomorrow, right??! We will have all fresh rolls, including point rolls for brats, hotdog rolls, kaisers and pub rolls for burgers, and squares, small points and petit pains for egg salad! Please plan on picking up everything you need ( and you will definitely need a chocolate croissant!😊) tomorrow morning - we open at 8 am ☀️🌧️

I forgot to make hotdog rolls for the store today!! ( That’s me, Ruth😊). Fortunately, I did remember our wholesale order from , so if you need them today, or pub rolls, or square rolls, OR pizza dough, check them out! And get the best meats around 🤗! …………. Tomorrow, I promise, fresh rolls of all kinds for your Memorial Day activities. ( But it is always best to order ahead!!)

Remember last week, for Mother’s Day, your sister gave your Mom a box of candy, and she gushed about how wonderful your sister was?! That cannot stand! This is your chance to do one better🤗. Tell her it doesn’t need to be Mother’s Day to prompt you to get her a delicious cherry cheesecake danish Fresh!, from Fortunata’s. ( Or you could get her a croissant and tell her you’re taking her to Paris… just a suggestion)

The aroma of fresh baked scones!! … It’s a scone kind of day, right? Bright sunshine, butter melted on a cranberry orange scone ( or blueberry lemon/ triple chocolate/ coconut/ cherry almond/ lemon poppy🤗)and nothing to do all day😊… if you can get away with it!!
