And now for something entirely different from the cake we did just a few hours ago. This two tiered cake is designed to feed a crowd. Green watercolor style cake with gold accents ( gold lustre dust, n.t. gold leaf and edible gold flake sprinkle) for a sweet 16. This cake is funfetti cake with a whipped cream filling finished in vanilla buttercream with green watercolor design done with palette knives.

It's a great Friday to bake some cakes. This pretty birthday cake heads out tomorrow morning. French vanilla cake, lemon filling, lots of our signature vanilla buttercream, and floral design in gumpaste and buttercream! This pretty 10" round cake is well over 12 lbs. total weight.

We have been busy but I am definitely out of practice posting what is headed out! I have to post these, however. This week we made two deliveries of our "Dani" cupcakes both for the wonderful woman these cupcakes are named for. Once upon a time this customer ordered chocolate cupcakes with fresh strawberry filling, confetti buttercream and chocolate covered strawberries. Initially I questioned the confetti buttercream on that combination, but apparently it's a hit. We named the cupcake for its innovator We hope that Dani had an amazing 40th birthday.

Our chocolate buttercream has been really popular lately with our private orders. This birthday cake for a mom and daughter ( how sweet!) goes out tomorrow. Moist vanilla cake with a split filling of silken fudge and chocolate whipped cream is finished in chocolate buttercream with chocolate drip and pretty pastel roses.

Test kitchen to final product in roughly an hour. Had an order for gluten free pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting dusted with cinnamon sugar. I had never done gluten free pumpkin cake before, but the consensus was that it tastes great and you could never tell it's gluten free!
