Turner's Stuft Donuts

Turner's Stuft Donuts December 2012 isn't the count down until the end of the world. It's the count down until the end of the donut as you once knew it. It's time to embrace change.

Susanville's Turner family will soon be back in business and with a twist. This venture is being lead by long time baker Allen Turner's youngest son Joseph Turner. With Allen there to guide his son, Joseph has desired to restore donut greatness to Susanville, CA once again. Business is in preparation phase now with taste testers ranging from Susanville, Redding, Corning, Los Angeles, Camp Roberts

and even throughout Afghanistan! Business hours and location will vary due to Joseph still serving on Active Duty with the California Army National Guard. Check back with us for dates, times and locations. Requests are welcome and anticipate visiting us at the 2013 Lassen County Fair! At this time, please don't call my cell phone or show up to my house looking for donuts as you will be disappointed since I am still deployed in Afghanistan and working the preparations with my father. The page will be updated as soon as we are able to officially launch the business. Thank you for your patience. "These patent pending donuts are sure to be a real treat for the people who have supported my family over the years. I would like to thank the Soldiers from the 2668th Transportation Company, 649th MP Company and the 7th Special Forces Group SOTF West KES for being my victims of deliciousness. These truly are unique donuts and my goal is simple, total donut domination." Joseph Turner

It's been far too long since there was an update.

Donuts will still be made in the future but there is a delay until I am through my VA claim process.

Once I have the time to devote there will be a new kitchen with new ideas to help everyone enjoy more tasty treats!

I tore the crate apart today with my dad! It was a wonderful time together. The mobile kitchen is small, BUT it will serve well. I will be able to fry 8 donuts at a time, minimum with the fryer... I am planning on picking it up during my lunch tomorrow and pulling it out the lumber yard. I want to thank Tuma Lum Lumber for the great help they've given. All Susanville residence expect to see my appreciation to that business by selling at their events. It's going to be a good year!

The kitchen arrived in Susanville a few days ago. My dad is going to work on getting it registered with DMV. I'm still ordering components I need to help speed up my production. It's all coming together.

The mobile kitchen has cleared customs and will be shipped to Susanville in a few days!

My dad spent a lot of time taking care of it. Looking forward to getting it operational as soon as I can once I get home.

My apologies, the chow hall did not have the appropriate supplies for donuts. I will have to postpone until the next announcement.

Scooter's, tomorrow, donuts.

Time... They should start coming out of the fryer at 12:00. It will cost a minimum a picture for the gallery. I'll post those and the ones from last time tomorrow!

09/18/2012

I am headed to Scooter's around 08:00 to start on some donuts. Stop by between 09:00 and 09:30 if you would like any, I'm only making a dozen, so if it's first come first serve.

Being on a budget, I'm starting small, I am planning on this being my FIRST mobile donut shop.

Also, in case anyone is wondering where I will be operating, I have a mobile kitchen ordered, it is being built and shipped. I should have it by the time I get home from Afghanistan. Since I'll be mobile, I'll be able to make appearances throughout California and even into Nevada once all permits and licenses are complete for each area.

I'm going to post some more pictures soon from the recent donut session at Scooters. Unfortunately my memory card is not talking to my computer at the moment. In time I will show case more of what makes these so special.
