I could not love Emmy more. I have followed her “small business” journey for a long time. She is beautiful inside and out. She absolutely makes beautiful custom party cakes and wedding cakes. She does phenomenal dessert bar set ups for events. Amazing custom cookies and her charcuterie set ups are pure art with food.
I’m so sad I missed her visit, but so honored that she came. I am in awe of her kind heart and hope you’ll follow her page and possibly visit her sweet spot in Blissfield. 🩵🍪🩵 She also works side by side with her equally beautiful husband.

Welcome to my new series where I spread a little love to a whole lot of people about something so cool, so close to home!

Day 5: Life is Sweet // Milan, MI

Life surely is sweet at Life is Sweet Bakery and Cafe in Milan! Have you ever been?! What a wonderful little bakery/cafe right in the heart of historic downtown Milan. This place is what I strive for, when it comes to a store front. Part bakery, part cafe with seating, part little grocery store… just so dreamy! Their take on cupcakes and other classics are so unique to them, you just have to check it out. Today, I got a Cafe Miel latte (honey and cinnamon) with a Turkey and Brie panini that they grab from the cold case where it’s freshly prepped, and then they heat it up for you while you wait! They have an array of sandwich options, so many desserts and pastries, ice creams, a whole espresso and coffee menu… just all the goods! You have to check them out if you haven’t already. The love and care that they take to ensure everything is top notch is apparent.

Thursday 6pm-8pm. We’re gonna have some snacky snacks and drinky drinks for you guys to sample in our dining room and we’ll offer some sales and some coupons for future sales as well. The event is only two hours. It flies by. So that’s why I thought it would be cool to offer a coupon so you could come back and shop on another day. So just come on in and say “hi” have some snacks go back and watch the witches dance pop into the other businesses. See what’s going on. Should be a fun night. Let me know if you’re planning on coming out.

Treat yourself! What is your favorite dessert. If we don’t have it, I could be inspired to create it.
 If I had to choose something from this case, I’m still probably getting a stuffed bagel lol. What would you get?

You know what I’m thinking about…
Maple iced cinnamon croissant rolls topped with bacon. I’m going to make some for Saturday.
Do you know what our Saturday customers really love?
Polish pretzel dogs, any kind of roll, especially the Dutch apple pie topped cinnamon rolls, stuffed bagels and iced coffee. Yup those are our Saturday hits. We’re open tomorrow from 9 AM until 5 PM. I hope you’re coming.
