As many of you know, Jones Creek Farm closed its doors to vendors this past week. I know so many of you love my bread because of the incredible support I saw at the farm stand which is right down the road from where I bake, right here on Isle of Wight!
Navigating a big transition like this is always a challenge, but this first weekend was a bit of a wake up call with 0 orders coming through. I love this work, and I love baking for all of you far too much to stop now.
Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) means my neurological system occasionally sends unexpected challenges my way. Recently, this has affected my structural mobility, which leaves me with fewer options for traditional work. This bakery has been such a blessing for me because it allows me to stay productive and earn an income while navigating this illness.
Because I am so committed to this business, I recently invested in specialized equipment for my kitchen to ensure I can keep up with the bakery while managing my current health decline. Right now, things feel a bit difficult having made those investments only to have a weekend with 0 orders.
I am a hard worker and I love to provide for my family. To keep this local bakery going, I need the community that supported me at the farm to continue that support on this new path!
How you can help keep the ovens on:
✨️Place an Order: If you’ve been missing your weekly loaf, please head over to my private site: https://bakesy.shop/b/dreamsday-preppers
✨️Local Pickup: Since I’m right here on Isle of Wight, getting your fresh bread is still easy and convenient!
✨️Spread the Word: Tell your neighbors that their favorite sourdough is still available right around the corner.
✨️Help us search for a new local vendor spot! If you know any business owner that would like to sell my products, please have them reach out to me. I am fully licenced and compliant.
I truly enjoy being your baker and I am so grateful for the kindness you’ve shown me. Let’s keep the sourdough rising!
