I am so grateful for the love and support of the community during 2025. I rang in 2025 last year in the cardio pulmonary ICU, had most of my right upper lung removed. A big part of my healing was baking. I used it to recondition my body. I was determined to not let my health challenges deter me from accomplishing my dreams. What was an idea and a dream, turned into reality. You all blew me away with your support, and proved to me if you have a dream and work hard through any obstacle, it can become a reality.

This year I reflect on how blessed I feel to have something like that in my life, and for the people who helped it take root. Together we grew it into something beyond what I thought it could be. Each failure, learning lesson, and success, you all have been a part of it all. I can only imagine the things that 2026 has in store.

Symbolically last night, Facebook finally allowed me to update the page with my new and official name. I began this journey and learned so much about my identity, as a brand but also as a person. So I proudly introduce to you Vanilla & Vice Cookie Co. We’ve come a long way, from For the Love of Cake RVA to now.

Happy New Year and may it be one of health, happiness, and prosperity to you all.
