This tier didn’t make it 💔

Mid-delivery, I knew something wasn’t right. By the time I opened the car, the vegan top tier had completely collapsed. Heat + vegan buttercream + a long drive = disaster.

I panicked. Took a breath. And then did what I always do — fixed what I could and made sure the rest of the cake was perfect for the couple.

This is the part of custom baking no one talks about. Sometimes things go wrong, no matter how much you prepare. What matters is how you handle it. I had to fix the middle tier by adding a big flower on top and you couldn’t tell there was ever a chunk of icing missing!

Lesson learned: delicate tiers get boxed separately from now on. This one stung — but I won’t make it twice.
