🎉 WE’RE OPENING TOMORROW AT 11 AM! 🎉

We are SO excited to get back into the bakery and see our wonderful bakery family! ❤️

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and prayers while we’ve been under the weather. We are so thankful for each and every one of you!

We’re looking forward to filling the case with delicious goodies, welcoming you through our doors (and drive-thru 😉), and getting back to doing what we love!

BAKERY UPDATE ❤️

Our bakery will be CLOSED Thursday, October 8th due to sickness.

We take the quality of the food we serve very seriously, but we take the health and well-being of our bakery family even more seriously. Because of that, we feel the best decision is to give ourselves another day to rest, recover, and make sure we are ready to safely get back into the bakery.

Praise the Lord, Thea and I both seem to be on the tail end of this, and we are hopeful that we will be able to reopen Friday at our normal opening time of 11 AM! 🙌

And if Friday goes according to plan… we’ll be coming back with HOT, FRESH DONUTS 🍩 and of course, we can’t have a Friday without FRITTERS! 🍎

Our tentative schedule:
❤️ Thursday: CLOSED
🍩 Friday: Hoping to open at 11 AM with fresh donuts + FRITTER FRIDAY!
❤️ Saturday: Planning to open at our normal time of 8 AM

Listen, I CAN cook! I can cook for an ARMY! But ask me to cook ONE meal, made to order, for ONE person? That’s where things get a little questionable. 🤣

So, we’ll keep you updated on hot food availability depending on whether or not our chef gets called out!

From Baked to Blessed — where the weather may say SUMMER, but our kitchen says FALL! 🍂🎃

There’s a reason we LOVE our new bakery hours. 🥹🤎

We’re now closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, and honestly… one of the biggest reasons we love it is because we believe the Lord led us here.

And when He leads, we want to follow—even when it doesn’t necessarily make earthly sense.

But I’m already getting to see some of the fruit of that obedience.

These days allow me to actually be present with our kids and their homeschool without feeling like I’m constantly rushing them, watching the clock, or like they’re competing with the bakery for my time and attention.

And at the same time, they’ve opened up room for us to pour more intentionally into ministry work, planning, and serving our community. ❤️

Last week, that looked like being available to help serve some of the families affected by the flooding. And now we have several ministry events coming up that we’re already getting excited about and preparing for!

It’s funny how sometimes making room in one area gives God room to do so much in another.

But alsoooo…

Apparently you can take the girl out of the bakery, but you can’t take the baking out of the girl. 😂

I had some extra sourdough discard that needed used, and what better time to recipe test than when we’re home?!

So today’s experiment was Sourdough Pumpkin Coffee Cake and Y’ALL. 🤤🎃☕️

The cinnamon swirl.
The crumb topping.
The pumpkin.
The sourdough.

YUM.

And this is another thing I love about these days home—I can play in my own kitchen again. I can recipe test without the pressure of needing something ready for the case right now. I can slow down, tweak things, let the kids be involved, and just enjoy baking again.

Who knows… maybe this one will eventually find its way into the bakery case. 👀😂

For now though, I’m going to enjoy my coffee cake, my kids, our homeschool day, and the beautiful reminder that obedience to God’s direction often creates room for things we didn’t even realize we were missing. 🤎

Okayyyy… THIS morning felt like FALL. 🍂🤎

That cool air outside, the smell of pumpkin in the bakery, apple fritters getting ready to make somebody’s Saturday morning a whole lot better… yep. We’re here for it. 😂🙌

And since we’re officially in that cozy fall-food mood, we need to know:
