Friends, we are gearing up for another round of sourdough classes to equip you for your holiday baking and gift-giving! In addition to enhancing your skills set, these classes are a really fun way to spend time with friends, so reach out to your bff's and get a group together. Come with at least three friends and I will discount each of your tuitions to $65 per person (max class sizes are 5-6, based on my cozy cooking space and the joy of keeping things more intimate.)

Depending on schedules and the number of attendees, I plan to add another class for November 16th. Please share and reach out to me with any questions.

Nourish Goodness coming atchya! 😁 This weekend’s ”nourishments” include sourdough citrus-cranberry English muffins, made with 50% freshly-milled kamut, and two types of homemade granola. There’s Cashew Joy, my spin on an Almond Joy flavor with cashews, dark and semi-sweet chocolate, shredded coconut, coconut chips, and coconut oil. We also have a reprise of my Kitchen Sink granola, this time featuring freshly-milled spelt and golden flaxseed, shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, pecans, flame raisins, apple-juice sweetened dried cranberries, dried blueberries, and, well, just about everything else but the kitchen sink. 😉

12 oz. bag of granola = $14
1/2 dozen English muffins = also $14.

Zucchini season is in full swing, so it was time…here’s a house favorite: chocolate and walnut-crusted zucchini bread, made with simple, organic ingredients and from zucchini fresh from a farm down the street. (Shout out to Jennifer Monsini, who supplied me with the pastured eggs for these as well!)

I should probably use the last photo to begin an album on Nourish baking mishaps. Every baker’s bane is summertime over-proofing of bread. This is especially likely with 8-10 hour overnight proofing of sourdough in a warm-ish house, a feat I attempted Wednesday night, only to find myself with a massive balloon of artisan boule dough that baked flat despite my best efforts to rehabilitate it. Tell you what, though. It tastes amazing, and we will eat it all. The beauty of baking bread at home is that it is pretty much always edible — even when you screw up. 😁

Garlic-rosemary artisan sourdough boule. This was quite good. I think I’ll up the roasted garlic and rosemary content on the next round for an even more pronounced flavor (garlic-garlic bread, anyone?). Does anyone have any bread types you’d like me to try?
