An Organic Flour Mill in Northwest Minnesota Ray and Helen Juhl of Middle River, Minnesota, founded Natural Way Mills in 1973. They also do specialty milling.

They fulfilled their dream of providing an alternative to the 20th century diet of additive-laden, processed foods. Natural Way Mills currently processes and markets ORGANIC, NON-GMO whole grains, flours, and cereals. The Juhls purchased a large grain farm near the Red River Valley of the North in 1954. Working with Jack Zachary, an experienced miller of many years from St. Paul, MN, the present m

ill was built and uses a unique process not used in any other mills. This secret system does the following two things: (1) keeps all the original nutrients, (2) produces a dryer product that extends the shelf life without adding preservatives. The demand for Natural Way Mills products continues to grow, thanks to their excellent quality. Currently the products are being distributed across the entire United States. The Juhls believe completely in their naturally grown and produced products, especially so in face of the present growing awareness of chemical residues in food and more recently the genetically modified organisms (GMO) affecting grains and the harmful effects they may have on the human body. Good morning everyone...

Where did this summer go? Better question, where has over half of 2026 gone? We are heading into the last fun summer weekend of the year. Many will be spending the weekend with their families, heading up to the lake for one last long weekend before our kiddos head back to school.
We will be here all week to stock up on all of your needs to make this weekend a success. Stop in and grab everything from your breakfast to your favorite flour to make those special treats for everone while they are hanging around this weekend.

Tuesday - Thursday 8am - 5pm

**Tours of the mill are also avaliable, we just ask that you call ahead so that we can make sure that someone is avaliable to show you everything**

Some exciting news for shipping!!
We will now have Speedee stopping out Tuesday and Thursday each week, starting tomorrow. I have done some research and all of the customers within their service area are going to save so much in shipping 😀

I work really hard in our shipping area, and am still working on ways to be able to save the UPS customers money on that shipping as well. When I find a way, I will be sure to let you all know.

We appreciate each and every one of our customers that continue to order even with the sometimes crazy shipping costs....it disappoints us just as much as it does you.

You are also always welcome to make the trip out to see us as well. If you have a plan on coming this way and would like a little tour and see how the machines work while making the flour, just give me a call with a heads up so I can make sure that there is someone avaliable to show you around.

Happy Monday everyone!
Our store/office will be closed on Thursday July 2nd for the 4th of July holiday.

Do you love Natural Way Mills products but do not love the shipping costs?

We have started something a little bit different to help our wonderful customers ease the shipping costs. We have started group orders that go out on pallets. We can put anywhere from 300lbs to 2000lbs on a pallet, it can be 2lb bags all the way up to our 50lb bags. The 2 groups that have done this so far are from Morris, MN and Grand Rapids, MN. When we sent to Morris last month between 10 of them, they each paid $13.43 in shipping costs. The Grand Rapids group is going out today and between 13 of them, they each paid $10.14 in shipping costs.

Head over to the Home, Sport and Family Show at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls this Saturday and Sunday!
Head down to the Imperial room and find Thief Lake Treasures. Not only are they selling Natural Way Mill products, but they have also have some yummy treats as well! They will have a wide variety of our products on display for you to purchase.
There will also be a Natural Way Mills Rep there on Sunday to answer any questions and visit with as well.

We have changed our packaging so we are looking to get rid of some extra inventory of these bags.

The plain bag with the tabs is what we used for 2lbs of product. They do not have the window in them and they are poly lined to prevent leaking. There is 525 of them in a box for $20.00 or $0.10 each.

The other bag with the window in it is what we would put 5lbs of product in. There is 800 in a box for $40.00 or $0.10 each.

These would work great for crafts, putting seed in, the possibilities are endless!! Pick up at Natural Way Mills Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm!
