Hahn Bakery
Hahn Bakery was built in 1864. The sand-lined 10 ft. by 10 ft. oven is made up of seven layers of brick. Carl and Emilie Hahn operated the bakery from 1922-1942 and again in the 1950’s until Jack and Doris Hahn took it over in 1968. After Jack’s passing in 1997, Doris continued running the bakery and is now the sole owner and baker.
Doris bakes enough to fill the orders she gets, so it is important for customers to call at least a day in advance to place their order. She still offers white and rye breads; cherry, apricot, raspberry and cinnamon filled coffee cakes; raspberry, cherry, and apricot streusels; and her famous cinnamon rolls.
Hahn Bakery is the only stone hearth oven bakery still in use.
