When folks visit Terran Baked Goods, our goal is to "Bake 'em Happy!"πβ€οΈππͺπ₯π₯―πΆοΈπ§πππππππ₯π I'm James Priest, the baker behind Terran Baked Goods. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself and the journey that led me here. Before I do this though, I have to extend my deepest thanks to my amazing wife, Ashley Priest. This endeavor is truly a team effort, with my amazing wife helping with la
beling, packaging, setup, and countless other details. Weβve been writers for about a decade now. However, with the rise of free AI-generated content, the demand for our writing has declined significantly. This shift has been financially challenging for us. We are a family of nine with two precious angels in heaven. A few years ago, we lost our daughter at 13 years old to heart failure, and before that, our 11-month-old son to a rare genetic disorder called Menkes Disease. Today, we have a 2-year-old son named Ethan, who also has Menkes Disease. My wife had a test performed before he was born which gave us an early diagnosis. This allowed us to get him enrolled in an experimental program for copper injections, which have helped manage his condition. Although Ethan still faces many challenges, he is thriving, and we are grateful for each day with him. Our lives have been a whirlwind lately, especially financially, so I had to think outside the box. As a teenager I started working in various restaurants until I found a position as a baker at Dunkin Donuts. I later worked for a small mom and pop shop in Florida called Daddy Oβs. I've always loved baking and began making bread at home years ago. Our friends and family loved it, and that sparked the idea for Terran Baked Goods. With the rising cost of living, I wanted to offer the community and surrounding areas high-quality, fresh baked goods at prices people could actually afford. My wife calls this an ingredient household. Iβve learned what I like over the years and use quality ingredients without any unnecessary preservatives. I believe in eating wholesome, delicious food, not consuming preservatives and shelf life stabilizers. Terran Baked Goods was born out of a passion for quality and a love for baking. The name "Terran" reflects our human touch and dedication to creating food with heart. As someone who has had to watch my diet closely, I understand the importance of using pure ingredients like cane sugar, sea salt, olive oil, and real butter. I started baking the foods I love and sharing them with others, hoping to generate enough income to help support our family. Starting this business involved a lot of research and preparation. My wife and I looked into packaging, labeling, and legal requirements to ensure we met all the necessary standards. We originally planned to open on November 15th, but a health scare with Ethan delayed our plans. Thankfully, he recovered quickly, and we were able to launch on November 23rd. Our first day was a resounding success, with strong support from the local community. We've since received invitations to set up at popular locations, which is incredibly heartwarming. This venture is not just about generating income; it's also about giving back to the community that supports us. Weβll do this by offering quality and affordability with our baked goods and by helping the community when we can. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has stopped by, tried our baked goods, and helped spread the word about Terran Baked Goods. Your support means the world to us. At Terran Baked Goods, we offer a selection of classics like white bread and honey wheat bread, as well as specialty breads like jalapeΓ±o cheddar and sourdough. We also have pita bread, perfect for gyros, flatbread pizzas, and sandwiches. One that went over very well was our Cherokee fry bread, which as many of you already know is great for making tacos, taco bowls, topped with honey, or some of your favorite fruit topping with whipped cream and powdered sugar. Terran Baked Goods aims to become your go-to source for fresh, homemade breads, cookies, and more. We are excited to grow with the community and continue sharing our passion for baking. Thank you for your support! Cheers,
James Priest, Terran Baked Goods
