Happy Friday Jr. everyone! Here’s the cake I made my youngest niece for her birthday (she requested pink instead of blue so of course I had to oblige). Vanilla cake died pink with SMBC and Nutella filling 💖

Cake and topper both made by me- as well as some cupcakes that I of course forgot to get a picture of 😅

Honestly can’t believe I never posted the cake I did for my daughter’s first birthday! When I tell you mom brain is real…I’m not kidding 😪😅

This cake was a two tier, 4 layer cake. The bottom tier was 8” vanilla with dulce de leche filling. The top tier was 6” strawberry with dulce de leche filling. All covered with SMBC, and cake topper made by me as well! It served 60 people with some leftovers. If cut as “wedding portions” it would yield a little more 😉 That day was so windy my cake was literally shaking on the stand, and I of course was shaking in my clothes praying for the cake not to fall 🙃

Ask any cake decorator what the favorite part or their job is, and I can guarantee it’ll be decorating ☝🏼

Baking gives you joy when you see how everything comes out of the oven the way you imagined, but decorating is on a different level! It took me a long time to be comfortable with my piping skills, so if you’re starting off, don’t be discouraged! And definitely don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone 😌
