Are You Prepared?

As hurricane Helene approaches,
we see people out preparing for the storm.
They are out buying bottled water, filling up their vehicles with gas, buying nonperishable foods, batteries, candles and anything else that might come in handy if the worse was to come our way.
They are getting prepared.

How many of us are getting prepared for the return of Jesus?
How many of us are reading His word?
How many of us talks with Him everyday and has a relationship with Him?
He's giving us directions through His word!
How many of us are warning others about Hell?
How many of us are sharing God's word?
How many of us are doing what God has called us to do?

Folks we should be preparing for this storm, but we should also be preparing to meet the one who can stop and turn this storm away from us.

Jesus is the anchor that holds us up and together.
Jesus is the Calm during the storm. Jesus is the Peace Speaker!
The Storm, the waves and the wind must obey Him when He speaks to them!

Even the storms of our lives!
If we pray and ask Jesus to save us then He gives us the AUTHORITY to speak to our own personal storms and that storm has to cease and move on out of the way!

But people its time that we stand up and know who we are and whose we are!
We are God’s children!
I am a Kings Daughter!

So today folks I encourage you to ask yourself "Am I doing what I am supposed to be doing to be prepared for the Jesus' return?

Am I making the right preparations as God has instructed me to do?

Be prepared folks!

This storm that’s coming our way is serious and we should get prepared for it.

The Storm JESUS that is coming our way is more powerful than Helene!
It WILL AFFECT EVERYONE!

The ones that got prepared for Jesus’ return, will leave this earth with Him!

The ones who was slacking with playing with God, thinking that they had more time, the ones who say,
” I’ve heard this all my life”
They didn’t take it serious, so sadly they were left here to face the things that will come with The Tribulation!

Folks, I’m getting prepared to go home with Jesus, how about you?

We do not know what the future holds for us!

I’m asking you today, to ask yourself are you prepared for Jesus’ Return?Will you go with Jesus, when that trumpet sounds?

If there is any doubt in your mind, please take a minute and talk it over with Jesus, so when He comes, we will all go home to be with Him!
We will see our family that is there waiting on us (“My Mama”)!
We will live forever folks!

How great is that?

Today I pray that you will take that minute to talk with Jesus just to know that you know, that when He splits those Eastern Skies, you will be ready to go and not left behind unprepared!

I love you all and be safe today and through this storm!

“Putting the Word to Work”
What comes to mind when you think of an idol?
Often times people think a statues or figurines representing gods that other cultures worship.
However, an idol is anything that you place more importance on or love more than God.
It can be your career, your money, facebook, sports or relationship.
One of the Commandments that God requires from us is, Thou shall not have any other Gods before Me!
Remember our God is a jealous God!
He wants our attention, and just to spend time with and have that intimate relationship with Him!
Our God is Worthy of our Praise and Time!
So today, ask yourself Do you have any idols in your life?
It’s something to think about.
Take time today to evaluate your pursuits and your priorities.
I’m sure we all have some improving to do!
Make sure that God is your deepest love and your highest priority.

Deuteronomy 28:43-44
43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower.
44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

As I was reading and studying in my Bible this morning, I was reading in 2 Peter 2: 1-22 and I said”Jesus this is where we are living right now”! So I began to study it more and got the commentary to break it down for me for easier understanding. Friends this is exactly what is happening in our world today. I’m going to share it with you. Pay real close to the last scripture at the bottom of the page! Proverbs 28:1 . You may want to read it first in your Bible. I read it from The Message Bible and KJV.
Let me know your thoughts on this!

See how God dealt with S***m and Gomorrah;
though they were situated in a country like the garden of the Lord, yet, if in such a fruitful soil they abound in sin, God can soon turn a fruitful land into barrenness and a well-watered country into dust and ashes. Observe,
1. No political union or confederacy can keep off judgments from a sinful people. S***m and the neighbouring cities were no more secured by their regular government than the angels by the dignity of their nature or the old world by their vast number.
2. God can make use of contrary creatures to punish incorrigible sinners. He destroys the old world by water, and S***m by fire. He who keeps fire and water from hurting his people (Isa. 43:2) can make either to destroy his enemies; therefore they are never safe.
3. Most heinous sins bring most grievous judgments. Those who were abominable in their vices were remarkable for their plagues. Those who are sinners exceedingly before the Lord must expect the most dreadful vengeance.
4. The punishment of sinners in former ages is designed for the example of those who come after. "Follow them, not only in the time of living, but in their course and way of living." Men who live ungodly must see what they are to expect if they go on still in a course of impiety. Let us take warning by all the instances of God's taking vengeance, which are recorded for our admonition, and to prevent our promising ourselves impunity, though we go on in a course of sin.
2Pe 2:7-9

When God sends destruction on the ungodly, he commands deliverance for the righteous; and, if he rain fire and brimstone on the wicked, he will cover the head of the just, and they shall be hid in the day of his anger. This we have an instance of in his preserving Lot. Here observe,

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Proverbs 28:1
When there is MORAL ROT WITHIN A NATION, IT’S GOVERNMENT TOPPLES EASILY. BUT WISE AND KNOWLEDGABLE LEADERS BRING STABILITY.
