It has been quiet at Cassy’s Sweet Creations and I just want to take a moment to thank you for your patience and understanding. Our family has gone through changes, both good and bad, and have needed a well needed break.

However, this did not stop me from making my baby’s first birthday cake (which was a month ago and I’m posting now about it 😅) that was Teletubbies themed, something she has been obsessed with.

“Say Hello” to this half cake, chocolate and vanilla with French buttercream made into the Teletubbies house. 💜💚💛❤️

Baby girl was quite surprised to see it come to life! Haha. The things we will do for our little ones.

Happy Birthday to my Gabriella who has brought so much light, love, and joy in to our lives. Here’s to more cake baking for my babies.❤️🎂

With your donations this year during the Down-syndrome Awareness Fundraiser, CSC were able to raise $500 and it was split and given to The Lawrence High School Alumni Association and St. Joseph’s Melkite Catholic Church. 💛💙

Thanks to the help of the Alumni Association and Church community and their additional $250 donation to each scholarship, two $500 scholarships were awarded.💙💛

Chocolate atayef anyone?!🍫

This pancake like base is filled with a chocolate sweet cheese. Yes, chocolate ashta! Then dipped in chocolate sprinkles and drizzled with a chocolate sauce; a play on the known Lebanese ashta atayef.

Today is World Down Syndrome Day. 3/21 corresponds with 3 copies of the 21 chromosome. CSC celebrates my uncle Roger and all like Roger who are so smart and capable. Never underestimate them and always encourage them.

This is our second year and we couldn’t be any happier in doing so.

Last year, with the help of all of you, CSC was able to award 2 scholarships in Roger’s name, one in the amount of $700 for a student at Lawrence High School, and another in the amount of $500 for a student at St. Joseph’s Melkite Catholic Church, both places of which Roger was very fond of.

Your support honoring a very special person goes a long way in helping students further their education.
