It's National Disability Employment Awareness Month! 🧑 This year's theme: "Celebrating Value and Talent."

Some numbers worth sitting with: in 2025, only about 38% of working-age adults with a disability were employed, compared to nearly 75% of working-age adults without a disability (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). That's a big gap β€” but it's not inevitable.

This is exactly why Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) matter so much. Giving students ages 14–22 real chances to explore careers, try work-based learning, and build self-advocacy skills while they're still in school makes a measurable difference in whether they're employed as adults.

Every student who gets access to these services is one step toward closing that gap. πŸ’ͺ

Let's talk about Work-Based Learning Experiences!

Classroom learning is valuable, but there is something powerful about real-world experience. Work-Based Learning gives neurodivergent students the chance to practice workplace skills in actual environments, not just in theory.
At Seasons 4 Growth, we help students build confidence by doing. Job shadows, workplace tours, and hands-on experiences give students a chance to see what work looks like and find out where they can thrive.

Students with IEPs and 504s may be eligible for Pre-Employment Transition Services, which means these services can come at no cost to families.

Real experience builds real confidence. Let us help your students get there.

Connect with Seasons 4 Growth to bring Work-Based Learning experiences to your students across Arizona.

Not sure what comes after high school? That's okay. πŸ’™

Job Exploration Counseling helps neurodivergent students discover careers that match their strengths, interests, and goals β€” not someone else's idea of what they should do.

At Seasons 4 Growth, we help students explore what's out there, learn about different industries, and start building a real vision for their future.

Students with IEPs or 504s may qualify for Pre-Employment Transition Services, which means this support can come at no cost to families.

Every student deserves a starting point. Let's find theirs together.

New school year, new opportunities! πŸŽ‰

Quick reminder for families and educators: Seasons 4 Growth works with students ages 14–22 who have an IEP or a 504 plan, helping them build real skills for life after high school β€” job exploration, work experience, self-advocacy, and more.

Getting started is simple: βœ… Talk to your school's transition coordinator, or βœ… Reach out to us directly β€” we'll guide you through it

The beginning of the school year is the perfect time to get a student plugged in, so they have the whole year to build skills and confidence.

Have a student in mind? Comment below or message us β€” we'd love to help them get started. πŸ’¬

Transition coordinators: quick one for you. πŸ‘‹

Pre-ETS and Indicator 13 can feel like two separate headaches β€” but they're actually supposed to work together.

Pre-ETS = the five required services every eligible student with a disability should get access to (job exploration, work-based learning, postsecondary counseling, workplace readiness, self-advocacy).

Indicator 13 = the federal check that your student's IEP actually documents transition services and measurable postsecondary goals.

The short version: the Pre-ETS services you're already providing are often the exact "transition services" your Indicator 13 paperwork is looking for. Connect the two, and compliance gets a lot less painful.

What's the trickiest part of transition planning for your team this year? Tell us below β€” we love hearing how different districts are tackling this.

Krista and Annette started Seasons 4 Growth from lived experience.

As parents of children with disabilities, they know what it feels like to search for support that sees the whole child, honors each student's strengths, and understands the day-to-day realities families and schools carry together.

That's the heart behind Seasons 4 Growth.

Seasons 4 Growth is an Arizona-based organization supporting neurodivergent students (autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, etc) as they build independence, executive functioning skills, school-to-work readiness, and confidence.

The work is practical. The approach is neurodiversity-affirming. The goal is growth that fits real life.

Right now, Pre-Employment Transition Services are available for schools and student groups across Arizona. These services help students prepare for future employment, explore their strengths, practice workplace readiness, and take meaningful steps toward independence.

Executive functioning coaching is also in development for spring 2027, created for high school and college students who need support with planning, organization, task initiation, time management, and follow-through.

Krista and Annette believe students don't need to be β€œfixed” to succeed.

They need support that respects who they are, builds on what they can do, and helps them grow one season at a time.

If you're a school, family, educator, or support team looking for strengths-based transition support in Arizona, we'd love to connect. Follow along as Seasons 4 Growth continues to grow.
