Tonight's massive Taste of Memphis Smorgasbord is coming up on us tonight at 7. Admission is $10. Come planning to stay late! An exciting addition to finish our day of celebration and entertainment will be DJ TOKIO who will get our booties shakin at 9:30pm till at least 11pm. Got rehearsal or a show? Come dance woth us afterwards!

This up and coming local DJ is quickly making a name for himself blending influences from Chicago juke, Jersey club, trap and ghetto techno all dipped in Midsouth flavor. You will find yourself sweatin out the evening's beverages gettin' down to a slew of recognizable tracks from anime theme songs to OG rap to pop woven thru the sickest beats.

As his newest fans you can find him June 20th DJing the Tokyo Takeover rave at Minglewood Hall and follow him on socials and youtube for more! What a perfect way to end an amazing day by dancing till we drop!

Excited to announce a last minute replacement in our Contenential Breakfast. Hope Clayburn is stuck in Illinois after a gig, but I strongly encourage you to follow her socials and check her out whereever and whenever you can. Thank you for offering your time Hope and safe travels.

We now welcome from 12pm - 1pm, the wonderful Eileen Kuo to the buffet tickling the ivories with a smattering of jazzy tunes and family melodies. Eileen has a remarkable resume from her incredible work as a lawyer and with philanthropic justice and female oriented causes. She also is well known in the theatre and orchestra worlds as a Paramount music director and band leader. You have almost surely seen a great musical in Memphis with her playing in the pit. She is also just one of the sweetest fun people to be around and all the musicians and creatives who have worked with her love her.

Our 4th Anniversary Celebration, A Taste of Memphis, is tomorrow. Tomorrow night, our evening set, the Smorgasbord, will be a real hoot. $10 admission.

Larry Clark, known in the performance world as JUST LARRY was born and raised in Memphis knowing from a very young age that he was meant for the circus. At 9pm Saturday night he will get our hearts racing with his incredible magic and physical feats! This paramount performer has seen the world living his dream as Ring Master and head of clown galley for Ringling Brothers and producer or performer of countless shrine and traveling circuses. Larry has gifted Memphis with his talents in his MAYHEM shows filled with death defying acts of balance, magic and humor. He is one of the most engaging and magnetic talents on any stage and humble to boot. He will help anyone fall in love with magic and the circus. The Ginger's Bread is proud and fortunate to round out the evening with him before the dance floor opens up! Our 4th anniversary celebration on Saturday is fast approaching. We hope you can join us at 7 for our cabaret performance, The Smorgasbord. $10 admission. Here's another act: The evening's entertainment continues with a set from musical theatre darling turned ground breaking singer songwriter Gia Welch and her partner in time JD Westmoreland. Gia is a Tennessee-born beacon of talent, with a soul deeply entwined in the heartwarming threads of Americana, Folk, and Bluegrass music. With the onset of the pandemic, Gia embraced her creativity, pouring her soul into songwriting and unearthing a new love for this craft. Her first EP, released in November of 2021 and recorded in the iconic Royal Studios, is a testament to this passion. Gia is not just a musician, but a radiant soul aiming to spread love and kindness. Her music has graced stages at festivals all over the country in the last few years. Sharing the stage with Vince Herman, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Michael Cleveland, and so many more on her new journey. She has also graced the stages of many local venues in her hometown such as B-Side, Loflin Yard, Overton Park Shell, Bar DKDC, house favorite at Hernando's Hideaway and the list goes on.

Hey everyone--more news about our 4th Anniversary Celebration, Taste of Memphis, on May 30. Our evening set, the Smorgasbord, begins at 7 and admission is $10. Our cherry on top is the legendary Pat McCooter. This seasoned drag entertainer is known for her wit, Southern glamour, and absolute refusal to take herself too seriously. Created 20 years ago and first brought to life for a local fundraising Krewe in Memphis, Pat has grown into a beloved and decorated figure across the Mid-South drag scene.

Her pageant legacy includes the title of Miss Antebellum in 2009, followed by a standout year in 2011 when she was crowned both Miss Gay Memphis America and Miss Gay Tennessee America. She continued her reign of excellence with titles including Miss River City 2013, Miss Queen of Hearts Vintage American National Star 2014, and Miss Tennessee Vintage American National Star 2014. Expanding her reach, she earned Miss Arkansas Vintage American National Star 2015 and went on to win Miss Gay Tennessee National FFI in 2016.

After years of impact and evolution, Pat proved she’s still at the top of her game, earning Miss Don’t H8 Icon 2024 and Miss Oxford Pride 2024.

Pat will be celebrating her 20th anniversary of performing with a show at Dru’s Place this coming July 11.

With a style that blends classic drag elegance, performance, and maybe even a wonky eyelash, Pat McCooter remains an active performer throughout the Mid-South, continuing to captivate audiences and uplift communities wherever she graces the stage.
