Cookies are made to order with a variety of designs and flavors available. See the "about" section or contact me for other treats and items available! During the Holidays, I was always in charge of making and coordinating the desserts within our extended family and friends. In 2009 a tragedy struck and my husband, David, became permanently disabled and I became his primary caregiver. Over the year
s since, I have been looking and yearning for something to do from home that I would not only love but that would also provide us some extra income. I started making cookies, cupcakes, and cakes for friends and family and began getting more and more creative each time as I learned how to decorate, combine ingredients, and make new designs. Each time, I would get feedback from my friends and family and they all encouraged me to branch out and begin baking and cooking as a business because they loved my food and desserts so much. It was exciting for me to implement my passion for crafting with my love of cooking and baking. My first clients were friends and family and as the word got around and people started tasting my cookies, I began taking more orders of cookies and that is how Tres Angels Cookies was born. This passion of mine allows me to both care for my husband at home and do something I love. Why the name, "Tres Angels Cookies?"
Tres in Spanish means three. I chose this number because I have three beautiful daughters that God blessed me with. Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by Angels and blessings and felt it was only fit to place the word "Angel" in the name. The picture of the Angel in my logo represents the generations of strong women who came before me. Pillars of strength who came before me and paved the way. It all reminds me of a poem myself and my daughters often refer to. "I am the first woman in my lineage with freedom of choice. To craft her future whichever way I choose. Say what is on my mind when I want to, without the whip of the lash. There are hundreds of firsts I am thankful for. That my mother and her mother did not have the privilege of feeling. To be the first woman in the family who gets to taste her desires. No wonder I am starting to fill up on this life. I have generations of bellies to eat for. The grandmothers must be howling with laughter, huddled around a mud stove in the afterlife. Sipping on steaming glasses of milky masala chai. How wild it must be to see one of their own living so boldly."
