Hello everyone 💛

Sourdough bread lovers in the NW suburbs – this week is special. I’m baking a brand new GLUTEN‑FREE sourdough baguette (no added starch) plus a few of our favorite classics, all baked the same day and delivered to local pickup spots.

This week’s menu:
✅ GLUTEN‑FREE sourdough baguette (no added starch)
✅ Country sourdough loaf
✅ Polish‑style Kujawski rye sourdough
✅ Onion sourdough with toasted onions
✅ French‑style soft loaf kids love

I recently had the chance to be a guest on Polish radio .fm – and I have to say, I really enjoyed being behind the mic. I actually feel like this role fits me, so if you know anyone in radio or media who’s looking for guests, I’d happily show up again and talk about bread, community and our Polish roots here🫶🏼

On air I talked about Tomek a Polish runner I met in person. He’s warm, humble and at the same time a real‑life superhero. He’s planning something wild: 50 marathons in 50 days across 50 states during the 250th anniversary of the United States. If he does it, he’ll be the first Pole – and only the second person in the world – to complete this kind of challenge🤞🏼🙏🏼

Of course, a project like this needs support. There are so many costs in the background – travel, logistics, recovery – so every single dollar really matters. When he comes to Chicago on June 7, I’ll be there at the start with a special welcome bread in our Slavic bread‑and‑salt tradition.

Today we’re talking about mishaps – the ones you secretly love to hear about 😉

🤷🏼‍♀️My Fridays start very early: I bake, pack, label, organize deliveries… and even though I love this work with all my heart, at the end of the day I’m still just a tired human. And that’s when mistakes happen.

😂This Friday, two orders didn’t make it to their owners and two loaves were missing from another order because the list printed on two pages and I didn’t catch it. Am I proud of that? Of course not. But I will always look for a solution so that my customer still feels cared for and happy in the end.
