I get questions about my sugar cookies and how I make them. This is for you, Madison! Here's my recipe:
4 sticks of softened butter. (I like salted butter.)
2 eggs. (My eggs are fresh and my honey guy is my egg guy as well.)
2 cups sugar
1 T. Vanilla Bean Paste (I get mine at Sam's.)
6 cups all purpose flour. (If you can find a good flour mill, there's organic wheat berries you can grind yourself to skip the chemicals in the flour.)
Add all ingredients in the order listed. Notice I used no leavening agents. I don't want any spreading, although it occasionally, it happens. When it does, I use my microplane to get the edges cleaner.
