With heavy hearts we write this…

We are heartbroken and still in shock.
Our lovely employee, Deme (Demetrius) Williams, tragically lost her life this past Thursday evening. Deme left her home Thursday evening to walk her dog and never came back. The reality her children and family now have to face is unimaginable.

Deme was a beautiful person, with a big smile and a big personality. She loved her kids, loved God, and loved her community. She would pray with our staff when they were feeling sick. She would give ideas for specials. She would share and repost our specials and events, inviting her friends. She knew the customers by name. While she juggled working she was also home-schooling her 12-year-old son, even as a single parent.

Deme was a single mom and is unfortunately leaving behind several children (ages 12 to young adults) that now have to navigate living without their mom and on their own.

⬆️ There is a Go Fund Me page to help support them. At the time of writing this, the page has generated $12,000. While this is generous, this is a drop in the bucket for what this family will need moving forward.

The organizer is her son, Alexander Williams. Alex attends Williamson College of the Trades and is competing on the National level for wrestling. Deme was supposed to be off all this week to attend her son’s matches in Louisiana for the National Tournament. She was so proud.

To the incredible customer base and neighbors who have kept us in business for many years, please, we are asking you to join us in supporting this family.
